{001 Frying Pan; Video}

[Well. Now Rapunzel has a bit of time to figure out these bracelets, she thinks she has the hang of it, and turns it on, brushing some hair behind her ear and seated on her bed in the Freyr house. The girl is likely a very familiar sight to some, considering she was here previously, and all that hair is certainly hard to forget. Which is currently down and trailing around the room, though at the moment mostly piled on the bed behind her. She seems rather pleased with herself for having figured out the bracelet. It's apparent she has already started drawing and writing about some of the things she has seen and learnt here, the people she has met, on some papers she has stuck to the walls of her bedroom.]

Okay. I think that's it.... So. I'm Rapunzel. I kind of only recently arrived here at Asgard. There is still a lot to take in, really. I've loved the festival though. Though I am not sure how often that happens. It was a lot of fun, there was so much to do!

I've heard I've apparently been here before, but I don't remember that myself. Does that...happen a lot, here?

[She seems a little upset at that, mostly guilty about others being so glad to see her and yet she doesn't remember them. She wishes she could. It's one of two main things making her conflicted about this place, really. A hand brushes through her hair, biting her lip, before she asks another question.]

Our powers, the ones we had from home, they're really gone? I was hoping....but I guess I can find other ways to help. If we help bring colour back here to this world, we go back home, right? What happens back home while we're here?

[Because, the thought of Eugene alone in the tower with Gothel is not a particuarly nice one, really. And she has not seen or heard of either of them being here at Asgard yet, if they are around at all. She still feels like she has a million burning questions, but decides that is probably enough for now, so she mumbles an early thanks and turns the bracelet off.]

Oh, I know what you mean. A lot of them were .. very close with me and I felt really guilty at first. I had Conan, one of the people who seemed to know me best, explain to me what was going on around the time I left and that seemed to help things a bit.

( She completely sympathizes. You seem like a really nice person and it is the weirdest feeling, not recognizing people who consider you a trusted friend. )

To some extent .. you just have to trust someone and ask them those sorts of things. Unfortunately, I don't recognize you; this must be our first time meeting.

[Rapunzel nods, biting her lip as she considers the idea. Maybe she should think about asking one of the people here who knew her about it all. If it helped this girl...]

I suppose I could find one of the people who knew me before and ask them about it, what happened when I was here before. I mean, if it helped you, maybe it'll help me learn about dealing with this too.

I don't think it could hurt! ( This person seems kind, after all. If they were a villain, it might actually hurt. )

And there are many people here who can answer questions about the city itself and what may be going on.

It's worth a try. And I know there are a few people who seemed to recognise me. Like Draco, and Bianca.

There is probably still a lot I don't know about this place, so that's good to hear. But I guess a lot of you have been here longer than I and some of the others that arrived around the same time have.

Malfoy recognized you?

( That's surprising. )

I haven't been here very long.. so I might not be the most help, but I can try and help you however I can. A friend of mine, Conan, is very helpful; he seems to have been here a very long time, too.

He did, I guess he knew me before when I was here last time. You know him then?

I'd appreciate that. I'm not sure I've met Conan yet but I'll keep that in mind.

( A slight hesitation. ) Yes. He's from .. home. I knew him before I got here.

I'm surprised Conan hasn't said hello! I think he greets new people often! But if you haven't met him yet, I'm sure you will; he's very involved in many things that go on in the city.

But...not a friend? [Because, yeah she notices that hesitation about Draco. He hadn't seemed all that bad when Rapunzel had met him, at least.]

I'm sure I will end up meeting him, or I might have talked to him but not gotten his name. It's still all a lot to take in, really. But I'm glad for all the help everyone's been offering and giving me, really.

It's a little complicated. ( He's not an enemy here, at least? It's hard to tell, anyway. But hey, smiling now! )

There isn't anything wrong with needing some time to settle in here, either. Take as much time as you need.

[She sighs, brushing some hair back.] Complicated, huh?

There is so much to see and do and learn. Back home....well, I guess you could say I didn't really get out much so all of this is pretty...unexpected. [Rapunzel is still determined to make the most of it all though, even if the timing of being pulled here is not the best, and she finds herself without Eugene or Maximus here. She manages a small smile in return.]

We've sort of .. known each other since we were very young. ( Yeah, let's go with that. It sounds better than 'his friends and parents tried to kill me and my friends'. )

A lot of people seem to come from similar situations .. so you might find that you enjoy the freedom. There are plenty of things to see. I personally enjoy the library.. and exploring the city is interesting, always.

Oh, I see. [Well, Rapunzel shouldn't pry if Hermione doesn't particularly want to talk about it. She's figuring maybe they know each other but not all that well, like acquaintances or something, being oblivious to Draco siding with Voldemort and all.]

Really? Somehow I doubt that....at least anywhere near as much as my situation. But I do love the freedom! What's a library? I've had a little look around but probably barely seen everything yet.

( It's a love/hate relationship with Hermione and Draco right now. With a lot more hate and not a lot of love. Rapunzel will get a demonstration if she's ever on the same network or in the same room with the pair of them for longer than half a millisecond. )

A library? It's a collection of lots and lots of books. The one here is very impressive! It has books from all sorts of worlds .. though the middle part of it is closed off, we have access to the outer part right now! ( Hermione is clearly enthused about this library. )

Oh, so sort of like that shop Eugene took me to while we were in the kingdom back home? That one had a lot of books in it too! Much more than the three I had back at the tower. [Though she is not sure that one had books of that much a variety as to be from different worlds. Still, Rapunzel certainly does seem excited at the prospect of there being so many books to read, given by her face all but lighting up. New books to read, not just re-reading the same three over and over each day when she had them memorized.]

You only had three books? (Aghast. What kind of horrible, horrible place is this, Hermione would die in a day. This Eugene person is instantly her favorite person if only for the magical wonders of introducing Rapunzel to books.)

A library is sort of like a shop, only you don't have to buy the books; you can borrow them with a special card or permission and then read them and return them later.

Well, I guess books were a little more harder to come by back home.

Really? Oh, that sounds great! So I could get one of these cards from there and choose some books to bring back to my room?

Perhaps.. ( Books should be a free commodity for everyone! )

And yes, exactly! You could read as many as you choose.

That would be wonderful! I'm sure there would be a lot of books there I haven't read yet, it'll be hard to choose at first, if there really are so many. [But then, chances are her first choices would probably be art books, to look through them and try imitate them later, perhaps.]

( Hermione can't help but try and stifle a laugh. )

I have that problem and I've been in and out of libraries my entire life. I just want to take them all home with me.

You'd need a pretty big bag for that. Or one of those carriage things or something to carry so many books. [Yeah, she is still oblivious to the real size and number of all the books in a library. Obviously.] But, even taking a few at a time, you could eventually read through more and more of them.

I'm not sure you'd need a carriage, but it really depends on how many you're taking out. ( Sounds like you need a bag like the one Hermione carries at home. Endlessly packable and never runs out of space! ) I try to limit myself to a few subjects at a time, so I don't get overwhelmed.

I guess so. And yeah, that would probably be best. I wonder if they have any art books....

I'm sure they do. It wouldn't be a complete library without books on every subject, after all!

[She totally would. Think of all the art supplies and pinecones and. Everything she could fit in that bag!]

I guess so. I think I'll check the art books first, in that case. That would probably be best.

( So many things she could put in the bag. She could probably put Maximus in the bag! )

From there, I'm sure you'll find plenty of things to study.
