Ah--Hello, my name's Saki Watanabe. I recently arrived here in Asgard to House Sigyn. [Wow, this sounds super formal. She looks almost sheepish as she just decides to sit back with a sigh.]

This whole place is just weird. The electricity, people, vehicles. In Kamisu our only method of transportation is boats; I don't even know what to call some of these things. [She laughs to herself.] I'm guessing I'm not the only one who's had a culture shock.

[She mellows after a moment, tucking a strand of hair behind her air. She's still dirty from the search for her friends and more than a little uneasy, but she's trying to tuck it away for the important things right now. Which is what leads her to a question.]

How long do people stay here?

[No that's not quite what she wanted to ask either so she lets out a breath.] It was sort of implied, with a war-- but are many people really capable of hurting each other here? [Not indirectly. Through means like faker cats and trickery, but not helping and harming. It was a foreign concept to the girl in all.]

Sorry, that must be a little weird. Huh? So what do you guys do now that you're here?

It's a question-- that's what. [She can sound irritated, too. Since it seems her question was confirmed anyway.]

And, well, some things -- yeah, but you kind of expect things to be more exciting when you're dragged out to a different place, that's all.

We have electricity, but it's only used for important buildings otherwise it goes against the Code of Ethics. [She thinks.] Technically, I think I am from the future.

It depends... people come and go at random times. I've been here for about five months by now. There are some people who have been here longer.

... I guess people can hurt each other here. But more importantly, you're here because you have to aid the gods in bringing color to this town. We're at war, but our most relevant task is to help the natives heal from their grey sickness.

I know. I read the letter that was in the bracelet when I arrived earlier. The whole idea still seems strange. [She sighs.] Have people hurt each other here?

But I agree, this place does seem... weird. My world has nothing like this either.

Maybe in different worlds, but it's not a possibility in my own. The idea is more than a little scary.

.. Huh.. but how do you get around if there's only boats? Or I guess you must only have boats since it is the only way of getting around.. [ .. she ponders this. sorry, she's not always the quickest thinker.. ] Were you guys stuck in the middle of some place with lots of water back home or what?

I'm not sure why we don't use something. Tokugawa Ieyusa diverted the water in the Tome River a thousand years ago. It failed and they were forced to build canals. The water was so high that a bunch of canals were built to use for transportation. At least, that's what I've always learned. [She shrugs.] We're not supposed to go past the Holy Barrier, so the canals are normally fine for travel. I guess we use it because it's the easiest way.

[ There's a small smile on his lips when he responds, mostly for the first half of her message. 'Culture shock' is a good phrasing, and largely an understatement for those of Camelot. Arthur's amused, enough so to garner answers to questions he'd most oft leave to the others. ]

By my count, I have been here one-hundred and ninety-two days. Friends of mind have been here longer than even that much, though it's not hardly the norm.

[ And their numbers seem to be growing slimmer. It's a sobering enough thought to lose the smile, though he tries to stay warm. ]

You'll find it's largely unpredictable, as with most things in this city.

[Saki's heard quite a bit by now, but she's still slightly unsettled. Arthur's small smile is enough to warrant one of her own as the young girl brushed a strand of hair back. Something reflects in her eyes as she considers it before speaking.]

So people don't normally appear for so long? [She worried her lip.] She ignores the question on her tongue if it was hard being here that long and tries to smile a bit more.]

I guess we just have to get used to getting confused. [An attempt.]
