Ach, a wee bit flimsy, isn't it?

[ To his credit, the blond dwarf manages to not eye the video as though he expected it to burst into a coil of snakes. You never know, it could turn him into a newt. Not that his shorter stature is immediately apparent, being seated and all. He clears his throat when it becomes apparent that the video is recording, leaning back with a proud bearing, and nods regally to the video... The noble-- nay, majestic effect, however, is rather diminished by the ever-present smirk tugging at his lips. ]

Ah...

Fíli, at your service.

To be called upon by the gods themselves is an honor without measure... though they are none that I've ever heard of. But whatever differences that exist between us matter not in this. Not when so much hangs in the balance.

[ As the speech carries on, he becomes increasingly impassioned, raising a clenched fist before him. ]

And so, let it be known that when this world needed aid, the line of Durin answered, and united, we will bring new life to this land!

[ His fist slams down on the table emphatically, and he clamps down on the urge to grin, trying to maintain some semblance of austere dignity with little success. He can't help it this is so awesome you guys.

A pause, and his brows knit together as he hesitates. ]

There is... one small matter that remains, however. I've yet to find my brother, Kíli. If someone were to direct me to him, you would have my gratitude.

[ Not that he's worried about that dumb baby or anything. Newp. With one more final nod, he ends the video. ]

[ ooc: Kili, of course, has yet to be intro'd ICly into the game here. Fili is only going under the assumption that his brother is in Asgard because, well, brothers. ]

[ It's only a day like any other day, a day in the Holy City in which Bilbo Baggins (sometime after eating a hearty - or as hearty as a meal in Asgard can get - breakfast in the comfort of his housing in Sigyn), decides to check what the residents here have previously labeled the "Network". Handy as can be, the Network was his source of keeping up-to-date with each and every traveller; he's also always wondered what it'd be like to perhaps one day find his company gracing their dwarvish faces across this so-called mass means of communication.

And luck be as it comes, Bilbo Baggins is fortunate enough to recognize a familiar bearded face when it does show itself. ]

[ He's quick to recall that it did take a bit to adjust to the odd writing (i.e, text) that Asgard had in place as one form of communication on this strange bracelet. So he chooses not respond in written word, but instead in video, which he kindly shows his slightly surprised face. ]

[only half of ushahin's face shows on the camera, the other half obscured by hair and out of the frame. being as that he is from an lotr-ish world, fili might notice that he looks a little...elfy. pretty white-blond hair, good bone structure, etc. but not all the way elfy]

Well, that's making him weirdly miss Harry. Which doesn't make much sense, but apparently that's what Asgard does to him. ]

To my knowledge, there are few forces that could keep the both of you apart for long. [Gandalf then quirks an eyebrow and gives the young dwarf a knowing look.] Though the gods of Asgard may find things infinitely less troublesome if they somehow manage to do so.

Gandalf! It should come to no surprise that the gods have called upon a wizard to join their cause.

[ Fili, of course, feigns innocence at the accusation. Heey, you look different. Did you get a haircut? You did? ]

Though I am certain they'd find us far more trouble apart than together. It's rare for my brother to be well and truly on his own, and there's good reason for that. [ No mention of how Fili would fare, of course, but admitting that he wouldn't do too hot on his own as well isn't as cool. ]

You're being way too optimistic for terrible gods like these. You should tone it down.
