[Nepeta manages to hold back a snort at that - she knows what Equius considers to be art! - but the last thing she wants to do just now is hurt her moirail's feelings.]

Why is it uncomfortable?

[He shrugged and tapped one of the walls before catching onto her intent and sighing, shaking his head and allowing her to ride. After all, she had just had a hard time of it. He could dote, right?]

These gods are territorial. They do not like us in other houses, and you will feel it when you visit. A few hours are fine though.

I believe there is paid housing if we find work. We could establish a commune for some of our fellows, at least the ones who are not severely derelict in some fashion such as the sea dweller.

I could work! It would be fun if a bunch of us could all live together! ...the ones who are less likely to fight, though. There was enough of that back home.

It would be preferable not to have those who would enter some sort of strife in the same house. we can handle such conflict in other places after all. It is our nature to wage war, but perhaps not at our homes.

I have also considered opening up shop or getting employment as a mechanic. This city is so deplorably poor in technology though.

[She opens the door and bounces in, much cheered up from before. Her bed has already been unmade, the mattress on the floor and the blankets and pillows piled onto it in a sort of pillow pile fortress.]

[He pulled out a stencil pad. He had improved since he got here, which gave him considerably greater leeway. Starting to draw on it, he pulled a small hand towel from the paper as a way of demonstrating.]

I have heard of that power, but I have not seen it work. I am able to produce punch cards by drawing them and alchemize them into being myself. I think I provide the grist as stamina.

At least that is my best understanding from peoples' explanations.

Oh my paws!!! Anything you draw becomes real? Do it again, I want to see, I want to see! Draw me something cute!

[She's nearly flailing with delight, all eager and excited.]

Cute? It is not that I mind the demonstration, but I am unsure that it is appropriate for one with as much rage as myself to draw cute.

[She takes them, but doesn't start drawing just yet, looking at him in concern instead.] Is there anything bothering you more than usual here? You can talk to me if there is! You know it's what I'm here for!

For now, the Highblood is the only real source of serious rage. I have some confusion regarding the Maid, but it is not as if there has ever been an easy answer to the matter of Aradia and I. [And THAT was an admission right there.]
