[The small, slender Japanese girl with the high ponytail and downtilted eyes might be familiar to some. She's standing in front of Heimdall House with a newcomer's letter in her hands, dressed in the same uniform as the first time she arrived, but it doesn't quite fit right anymore - she's gotten taller since she made it, started to fill out a little. At least in Asgard, which proves that she hasn't been completely reset.

The confusion on her face starts to contort into alarm as her words confirm that truth.]

Isn't - it over? I remember Freyr - when he - wasn't that the end? But now it's like none of it ever happened... the letter, and the maid, and everything looks just like the first time...

[And now edging into panic as she leans against one of the house's walls, wrapping her arms around her middle and shivering.]

--You're the same age as me now? [ Holy cow. That makes it seem like a lot for time has passed but then...he hasn't been keeping track of his own birthday either, because he doesn't know it. ]

[Well, you must be older too, right? It's on the tip of her tongue, but she doesn't know if Nobodies age, and Roxas is just so - Roxas to her that it's hard to tell if he's changed at all.]

My birthday's just after Christmas, so... I think so. God, that's weird. [She shakes her head, unable to grasp being two years older than she was when she died.]

[faints]

[ If the answer had to be exact? He hasn't. Won't ever, actually; he's a perpetual teen in the most physical sense of the word. His hair has barely even grown compared to his first arrival.

But he doesn't know that and neither does Nakama, so he focuses in on what she says next. ]

That's right...people were saying that was just a little while ago. They were handing out gifts before the snow even started falling.

It's hard to know here, but you can kind of guess by the part of the season you're in. It's funny that so many of us still hang onto things like that from home, isn't it? This place could have totally different seasons, or none at all, and then we'd have no idea how to count time.

[She fiddles with her cup a bit, rolling it between her hands to warm her fingers. It's hard not to feel like she's babbling when she tries to keep up light conversation like this, but he's engaged in it, so she seems to be doing well.]

[faints]

Mmn... [ Roxas looks down at his own mug, contemplative. He'd had this conversation with Merlin only a few days ago and it gives him a small flicker of deja vu to repeat himself. ]

In my memories, it's not Christmas until after it snows. So I haven't gotten anything for anyone yet... I thought it was still Fall.

Well, if there's no official Christmas, then you can't be late. Right? My birthday party was in spring, and I still loved all my gifts.

[faints]

Did all your stuff stay...? [ "After you left," is unspoken but implied, but this time he's trying not to let it get to him. It's hard. ]

I don't know yet, I haven't been home. I didn't think to leave it to anyone, because I assumed we were all going, so... I doubt it.

Then, your sewing machine...

[There are other things, too, like her pictures that she got from home. Roxas never did get a good look at her friends. And it'll be hard to sleep without her mom there beside her...]

I'll just have to... start rebuilding, I guess. It won't be the same as getting it as a gift, though. That was so nice of you, Roxas, honestly.

[faints]

...I could get you another one. I don't buy a lot except for what me n' Axel eat.

Oh, no, you don't have -

[Wait.]

- Axel's back?

[faints]

Yeah...a little while ago. Except I keep forgetting I'm not supposed to call him that. It's actually Lea. [ He rubs at the back of his head a little, somehow managing to feel foolish under all this emotion. ]

He got his Heart back. He's normal again.

[whatagoodgirl]

[She just stares, trying to take that in. So - they can get hearts. They can become human. It'll never matter to her what Roxas is, but to him, that must be incredibly hopeful.]

I'm glad. [Both for that and the fact that Roxas's best friend is here in the first place.] I know you missed him a lot.

[faints]

Yeah... I still don't remember lots though. It got a little better when we had to...fight. He says it's fine and he's happy just to have me but I think sometimes...he still feels lonely.

[whatagoodgirl]

[She rests a hand lightly on his shoulder.]

You know what it's like when friends you've made here come back without memories, right? It's a bit awkward for awhile, and you have to remind yourself sometimes that you're not as close as you were, but... they turn out to be the same person, and have all the same things you liked about them in the first place, and after awhile you get close again.

[faints]

I know... I just think that it's probably sad, having a friend who can't remember any of the times you shared together.

[whatagoodgirl]

It is. But it gets better.

[She smiles a little, still trying to perk him up.]

So when do I get to meet him?

[faints]

...Whenever you want. I know you just got back. [ "So don't worry about it if it'd be overwhelming." ]

[whatagoodgirl]

[She nods thoughtfully.]

I will have a lot to do. But this is important... I'd like to meet him as soon as I can.
