[ TEXT -> ANONYMOUS ]

If you could stay in Asgard forever, would you?
After we win the war, if the gods would let us.
Why or why not? :)

[heh. time for a jump or two.]

All right, I see your point, then, Jade. So if you were to simply ask then if Asgard is a realer home to us than our own homes, I would say that most people would still disagree. But you've every right to think so yourself. What are your reasons for thinking so?

Oh, sorry -- I think some of your response got lost, Jade.

Consider it a reminder that you weren't really being all that sneaky and anonymouse, perhaps. ^^

I think your reasons are important. At least as important as others'. Particularly as you represent a minority opinion.

So why is it that you think so, and why is it that you think you might not think so after all?
deputychief: (wasn't me *)

Indeed, it seems you already have that.

To my mind, the reason that people do not feel the same as you is a simple matter of numbers. Most of them have attachments to their worlds spanning at least a dozen years or more. You were largely separate from yours until recently, correct? And you haven't, as you said, seen them every day. The others, were they here for a comparable time, the more recent comparable length of time, that is -- it would be as if they had been here ten or twelve years. After which point they would feel the same as you, most likely. People adapt to things more quickly than that.

I think there's no wrong answer here. Do you think perhaps you could stay?
deputychief: (that kind of haruhi *)

Quite so, but I don't think it's a matter of fairness. You don't need outside justification for it. One may construct one's own personal world without reference to others.

Indeed, why ask the question? Is it really to gauge others' opinion in general, or were you hoping to get an idea of some specific persons' opinions?
deputychief: (your face is too close)

Of course. Well, it's rather nice to know you have that form of integrity, Jade. But your suspecting that they would do that seems to indicate that you really think there's something to psychoanalyze, as you put it.

Well, what is it that you would classify as psychoanalyzing here? Surely not merely imputing that you like it better here. Unless they have some reason to think that that's not it - or at least that your feelings about this place would also be mixed - in which case concerns about the alternative would also naturally develop.
deputychief: (aah i don't think-- *)

[ private text ] yes i do! and you also play j--well. uh.

[personal profile] deputychief 2013-01-12 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, yes - it's true, I understand. I too particularly hope to avoid having intelligent, caring friends try to assist me with understanding my problems.
deputychief: (bad acting with asahina mikuru *)

[ private text ] oh well i meant that i just tag you with everyone. i didn't actually know you playe

[personal profile] deputychief 2013-01-12 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
[ooc--...d anyone else... and stupid subject line.]

Well, isn't the purpose of psychoanalysis, as you put it, specifically to uncover links between problems which consciously the mind resists linking together?
deputychief: (edgeywedgey)

[personal profile] deputychief 2013-01-12 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose that could only truly be determined with a fuller accounting of what you refer to as actual problems.
deputychief: (smug (standard))

Curious, I'd never thought reticence likely to be one of them.
