May I request more information about "New Years Resolutions"? I understand they are usually "self-betterment" requests for oneself, however, is this always the case? In addition, may I hear about resolutions you yourself have possessed in the past?

Admittedly, I have never heard of that practice at New Years. Do you know if it's limited to your culture alone?

Hmm, I don't know! I know we Japanese definitely do it, though! We draw fortunes, too!

Maybe the Chinese or Koreans do something similar? We'd have to find one to ask, though!

Drawing fortune for the new year... a curious concept. Perhaps it is the belief that gives them value, rather than the fortunes themselves.
