[ Jade's voice is chipper but seriously congested; she has apparently contracted the Cold from Hell, and she is absolutely aware of how ridiculous she sounds. For the record, she is also abjectly miserable. Girl didn't catch a lot of illnesses on an island all by herself growing up. ]

I lost my bracelet, in case anyone was wondering where I went. [ She sniffles severely. ] I don't think Draco told anyone, so I promise I haven't been ignoring anyone, I've just been a little indisposed.

But the decorations that are up now are nice! And- [ She sniffles again, whines softly. ] -and if anyone wants some nice winter flowers or anything like that, let me know, I'm afraid my powers are starting to get a little rusty.

[ She ends the feed, then starts it almost immediately again: ]

And what the hell are you supposed to make your nose unstuffy? This is hard to breathe and it fucking sucks. [ Jade swallows, begins to speak again, sneezes hard, and just ends the feed entirely. ]

Hehe, I'm kidding you Jade. Really. Just giving you a hard time. Like I said, it's good to have you back. Things've been quiet, thank god, so you only missed the latest batch of new arrivals.

[ Her nose is red, eyes watery. ]

[ Sniffling. ]

Fef and Karkat are both back, and some other troll I haven't met. There's a guy you should meet named Leo. he's a little on the shy side, though, so he might be hard to run into.

[ Yeah, she'd heard that Feferi was back, and it makes her swallow uncomfortably. ]

Leo? What's he like?

[That made two of them for very different reasons.]

Kind of goofy, and a bit more into avoiding folks than even I was when I first got here. He's pretty easy going, though, once you meet him, so I think you two'd get along.

You should point him my way.

[ She holds up a hand, as if to say 'give me a second,' then sneezes hard into her elbow. ]

..maybe not when I'm carrying the plague.

Yeah, if I see him hopping along the rooftops, I'll definitely point him to you. If you can't find something to deal with that nose, holler. I'll get you something real that won't destroy your sinuses.

[ Yeah. She's pitiful. ]

... a what? Ok, that sounds unpleasant. It's just a stuffed nose, though. You only need something to clear it out. Anyone else suggest anything?

[ Her eyes are watering a little; she sighs and scrubs at her cheek with her sleeve. ]

Stupid Draco Malfoy gave me his stupid cold.

Ah, so that's what happened. Heh, I'll be honest and say I never got them much at home, so maybe it's better if I wait until you're well to come near you. A lot of my old immunities don't seem to be working right here. Still, did you need any meds?

[ She swallows thickly, sniffling again. ]

I think Draco is going to bring me something. I don't want to risk making you sick, Samantha, but I appreciate it. I never really got sick at home, either.

Yeah, this place is just full of firsts, isn't it? It's not too big a deal though. Mom used to get them, and they do go away eventually. So don't worry too much.

I'm not worried- just grumpy. I'll get over it soon, I'm sure.

Yep. Week usually tops. Here's hoping you don't have too many more headaches now that you're back. Might as well enjoy the break while we've got it, right?

[ She starts to talk, then sneezes hard. ]

... I don't know if they celebrate Christmas, but I think they do some sort of winter festival. It might be more like Yule. I've been busy so I didn't ask.

So- we should all do some sort of gift exchange, right?

heh. Talk to Rose. She's got one set up around here somewhere, actually. Secret Santa or something. Christmas isn't exactly something I do, but I can't fault a present or two.

Good to hear it. Yeah, that's the only sort of gift exchange I know right now. We celebrated Yule in my home, and it didn't involve too many gifts. [Which was to say, it involved none, but she considered special meals with her mother a gift.]

Well, it'll only be something small- but I'll find something. I think that kinda thing is important.

[ She sniffles, rubbing at the tip of her nose. ]
