Most would not consider people lower on the caste to win contests. Only higher bloods would be considered, most likely. It would also be unheard of for me to win too.

Then it's a good thing you two are here! The gods are assholes, but as far as I know they don't follow any kind of caste.

I do like it here, although it doesn't matter since our world got destroyed! So there isn't really a caste anymore if there's no one to really enforce it.
