[Karkat probably doesn't have time to actually say anything because there's suddenly a shout.] Karkat? Karkat! [The video feed is probably a blur of motion with lots of greys, blacks, and reds. There's a face that hasn't been around recently. Aradia has bounded over to Karkat and is basically invading all his personal space.]

When did you get here? Have you talked to Sollux or anyone else? A lot of our friends are here you know! You have to tell me what point of the timeline you're from.

[Aradia had lost her bracelet and is pretty much oblivious to what's been happening as of late.] I guess we got here at the same time! I mean I was here earlier but I lost my bracelet hehe.

You don't remember either, Aradia. [ Her tone is some bizarre mixture of flat, annoyed, slightly amused, and disappointed. ]

I guess I could tell you guys. Tavros probably could, too. He and I have both been here for a long time. Sort of? Actually, it doesn't feel so long after wandering around the Furthest Ring for eternity. Anyway, that's not the point! Man. I am getting kind of sick of you chumps showing up knowing nothing.

I lost my bracelet for awhile, but I'm the same Aradia that spoke to you before! I haven't disappeared quite yet. [Just getting lost.]

Do you think there's a reason why we seem to come in and out? It sounds like there's a lot of people who've stuck around for awhile but a lot who come and go really quickly. Why would they want to keep bringing us in only to toss us back out?

Not what I meant! You're not the one that was here at the very beginning.

[ A pause. ] You know, I'm not sure! In fact, that is actually a pretty good question. The original idea was for us to bring color to the city! So I don't think they cared who they got to do it as long as it happened. But everything has changed since then! If they want us to be their soldiers you'd think they'd at least want us to stick around long enough to get trained or whatever. [ Somewhat thoughtfully. Aradia's sparked her thinking now. ]

I know. I can't be that Aradia though, but I'll do my best to make up for it now! [She means that sincerely.]

That's what I've been wondering. If we're to fight this war and be their soldiers to win it, why would we be so easy to bring in and out? And if they keep bringing us back, it seems like it would be convenient to bring back the versions of us that already came here before!

But I guess I'm also wondering why they can't pull more of us in. I mean, they bring us from different points in time too. [And of course, Aradia is going to think a lot on this now being the Time aspect player.] But the Gods haven't exactly done sensible things from what I've heard.

[ Vriska is quiet for a moment. Thinking. ]

I am starting to wonder if it is something they control. Maybe they don't have any part in it at all.

But then that leaves so many questions! They want us to fight this war, but they have no control as to how or when we're brought in it seems. Does that mean the system they're using has faults or is it that there are more people or things involved than that? I mean, we can't really get sent back, but we also disappear too, which doesn't make much sense to me!

[Which Aradia doesn't like the sounds of. It sounds much like what they dealt with before with Scratch.]
