[That's a very ill-tempered expression this new arrival is wearing. He's got a zippo lighter in one hand, and he glares down at the dancing flame for a moment before looking back up at the camera.]

You know what's bullshit, Asgard?

[He holds his hand over the flame just long enough to leave an ugly welt, then shows his palm to the camera; although the process is slow, the blistered red skin is visibly starting to heal.]

This, right here, is bullshit. I'm not Logan. Who the hell would want to be Logan. My name is Pyro, because I manipulate fire. I don't care who these "gods" are, or what they want, or why they did it - you don't mess with a mutant's ability. Give me back what's rightfully mine, what I was born with, and maybe there won't be any trouble.

[Totally unaware that he's just made the least original first post ever, he ends his side of the feed and waits for responses.]

No complete answers yet, I'm afraid. They're really good at making it difficult for us - by this point I would normally have the whole mystery figured out a long time ago.

At least you say "difficult" and not "impossible." I don't wanna talk to another person who's given up and expects me to do the same.

If something can be done, something can be done to undo it. Or go against it.

So what hasn't worked for you?

Well, I want to try to find paths through the fabric of the universe, but it looks like I'll have to get into the castle that everyone arrives in and that's always locked.

Anyone tried explosives?

[ He knows what he's talking about, ok. ]

Hm. No...

There's a war going on, there must be explosives around. Unless they've got a magical bullshit shield around themselves, it's worth a try.

There's not really much of such modern things around, but I can always have a look.

Don't forget to ask around, either. I'll do the same. With so many different types of people here, there could be someone who can build them out of what we can find. If you're creative, explosives can be made out of almost anything.

[And his face creases with anger again. He'd be a walking explosive, if they hadn't screwed with him.]

Oh, yes. I can probably look at that too. Won't be new to me.

[ Pause. ]

Well, I can't say I've built explosives before, but plenty of other things. Can't be that different.

[He actually laughs at that.]

And people call me overconfident. [It sounds more like a compliment than an insult, though.]

It's not overconfidence. I'm clever, rather brilliant, and that's just fact. Got a lot of years on my back to prove it.

And yet you're still here. Give me proof, not years, and I'll buy it.

[ A moment's pause, and the Doctor starts moving without a word. And half a minute later, he pushes the door open to the room he's reserved for building. After tinkering with the bracelet for a second, he pulls it off his wrist so he can turn the screen around.

Along the walls on shelves and scattered across the ground are... a lot of... well. Things, that he's built from all kinds of regular junk. Brooms, umbrellas, string, glasses, bottles. Some things are half-finished, but there's one device tucked into the corner not too different from this, but on a bit of a smaller scale and with fewer parts because he needs to be able to move it, and it's spinning and most definitely beeping. He'll just focus on that. ]

This I hope will be able to find those tracks, except it's not finding anything here. Which is why I need to get into the castle, because that's where everyone appears, so something should lead out from that place. But advanced technology is dumbed down here, so I'm not sure if they're doing it to things technically built with this age's technology or not.

And, well, it's hard to know if it'll actually work even without that.

[The whole room just gets a lot of staring, but when he gets to the "device" itself -]

Oh my god, you're a real-life mad scientist.

[ And he puts the bracelet onto his wrist again to bring himself back into focus. He's grinning. ]

That's me! Usually I go with madman with a box, but seeing as I'm without my box, I think I'll take mad scientist for now. Not a far throw.

Everything! Whatever you want, I probably know something about the very most of it, if not all of it. Or, well, everyone being from different universes around here makes that a bit less likely, but never mind that. I usually say of the universe, it's the most accurate of them all.

And I think it might be able to.

Well, we've got explosives on our list. Doubt it'll be that easy, though. I'm assuming that phasing isn't one of the second-rate powers they hand out here?

No. But even if it was, I doubt it would work on that castle.

Point. I'm just working from the manual back home: if you can't throw Logan at it to kill everything in sight, try a phaser or a metamorph.
