[The image is very staged, as if the teenager had rehearsed and settled himself carefully. He's sitting down, with a notebook on his lap, and he smiles at the screen with his best friendly look. He's dressed very neatly, a sweater vest with a tie visible in the picture. A very plain metal bracelet hangs on his wrist, opposite the one with the communicator bracelet on it.]

Excuse me. This is a little awkward, but I'm afraid I'm in a bit of a strange situation.

[He holds his pen above his notebook, as if he might be about to doodle to help himself think.]

I've heard that I've been here before? I don't remember, so I want to talk to anyone who has had a similar situation, or those who might have known me before. For those of you who don't, my name is Gau, I live at Sigyn House, and I would love to hear anything useful you can tell me about people coming and going this way here.

[He clears his throat, unsure how to end the video, and finally settles for a small bow toward the screen, which if anything looks awkward.]

Thank you. Did you find yourself recognizing anything once you settled in, even if you didn't really remember? I keep thinking I should start to realize places are familiar, but I haven't even gotten deja vu or anything.

Ah yes, the memories. I knew there was something I forgot to add. [This part's more of a quiet thought to himself, evident in the way he finally looks directly at Gau in the screen.]

Welcome back to Asgard, Gau. From what I've gathered, leaving and then returning without memories is a fairly common occurrence. You would not be the first.

Personally I never met the you who was here before, but I had some friends who left and then came back with their memories wiped. But it's not always the case... some people return with their memories intact, even.

Didn't know you before, but... guess this means 'welcome back'. [ in a weird sort of way. at least he feels a 'welcome back' is appropriate, but he's often been told that his idea of what constitute as fair manners tends to be on the weird side. ]

[Video on this end doesn't quite look as staged. Malik sits at a counter somewhere, and there's some conversation in the background. Someone doesn't have a lot to do at work today, perhaps. His expression isn't the most friendly, but that might be the discomfort caused by the subject at hand.]

I have found myself in the same situation upon arriving here. It was strange to be greeted by name by people I did not recall meeting.

I think that's happened to a lot of people. I was here before, too, and don't remember--even my Pokemon was here with me the first time, but Luti doesn't remember either.
