[The feed starts, and it's apparent that the woman who is wearing the bracelet has no idea that it's turned on. It's caught her in the middle of a string of mandarin - and her tone would very much make it seem as though she is less than happy and not really believing anything the letter had said.
Her gaze is flittering around, and she's muttering loud enough for others to hear over the device on her wrist.]
Tāmāde hùndàn! Malcolm Reynolds, I'm going to show you uncivilized if I find out you had anything to do with me being here.
[She glances down at the object around her wrist, and her eyebrows draw together. Though once she realizes that it might perhaps be broadcasting, she lifts it up so she's seen clearly - and in that few seconds of time, she's regained her composure and looks completely tranquil and at ease. Years of training were not going to go to waste, not even in this place.]
Bàoqiàn, I apologize, I didn't realize I'd managed to turn this on. I'm assuming it's a communication device? [She manages an easy and even charming smile.] Perhaps someone would be kind enough to tell me which planet I'm on and point me to the nearest city so I can contact my Guild, I would be most appreciative.

You're not in your world, and there's no spaceships here anymore. You've been abducted across the boundaries of time and space to a different version of reality by nine creatures that call themselves Asgardians or some similar crap. Their names are the names of the houses that we get shoved in to start. They kidnapped us to fight their personal war, which they claim is the final war of all versions of reality.
Feel free to believe it or not, here's a couple quick tips:
One - Don't lose the bracelet. Those faceless, gray people? You'll end up looking like them in about a day and you won't remember who you are or why you should care until some guard brings you your wristband back. It's a really creepy experience. I don't suggest it.
Two - They want you to interact with the people here, other prisoners or the locals. Have emotions, train and prepare for battle, and they're happy. Smile or scream, it's all the same.
Three - Get ready to see a lot of weird shit. Weirder than me.

That is certainly... quite a lot to take in. Kidnapped by, uh, Asgardians to fight a war for them. That is possibly the strangest thing I've yet to hear.
[She glances back at the letter she'd discarded earlier.]
So the letter was in fact not a joke?

There's stranger, I'm sure, but it is right up there on the weird crap meter. As for the letter, if that faceless witch handed me anything when I met her the first day, I probably shredded it without reading it. I was in a bit of a rampage at the time.
So, I'll take your word for it on that one.

Not 100% human? I... I'm afraid I don't entirely understand.... [She's never met anyone not 100% human, hadn't ever thought it was possible.]
Video
Not human.]
The old medieval word where I come from is cambion. I don't know if your world has myths of demons, but in some worlds, they're true. I'm a half-breed. The demon side of me isn't pleasant.
Video
Asgard was most certainly the biggest wake up call of Inara's life.
She swallows, her gaze shifting uneasily away.]
Oh. Well then. I - uh, appreciate you letting me know that it would be wise to steer clear of you when you appear like this.
[Really now, what else is she suppose to say?]
Video
Sorry about this. This place doesn't exactly make for easy meetings sometimes. Just imagine meeting satan. He used to run a bar in town.
Video
[Her eyebrows raise.]
Satan? As in... Lucifer from the Christin Hell?
[What kind of place has she found herself in??]
Video
Satan, yep. Went by the name of Lucifer Morningstar, and had big old fashioned bat-wings to go with. Couldn't be one-hundred percent certain he was the head cheese and not just someone with a serious psychological problem, but he talked the talk pretty good. Creepy as hell having the boss of hell run a bar, I'll tell you that.
Video
Well then, I'm certainly very happy that I missed that one. Is there... anyone else you can think of that I might need to avoid? For any reason?
Video
Be careful about trolls. They're not all bad, but a lot of them are violent. You'll be able to tell which ones're safe pretty quick, and they're easy to pick out of a crowd. Gray-skined, yellow horns, fangs, usually kind of pissed off.
but, like I said, some of them are pretty easy to talk to. Watch Kaz. Ugly little spider boy's a bastard. Most of the rest are ok. The worst disappeared not that long ago, least as far as I could see.
