005 - Video (Accidentally not private to Gamzee)

[It's about two hours after Samantha met Gamzee for the first time. She's got a splitting headache and a nasty snarl on her face as she's holding an ice pack to her head. Her original intent in setting this post up is to make this a private post to the troll, but either because of that splitting headache, the fact that she's not 100% sure which is his account or just being in an angry rush, she's not getting the privacy thing quite right. So everyone gets to hear her cuss that looks at the video.]

Round one, you dumbass, troglodyte clown. You win round one. The next time you try to wang me over the head, you bloody well swing better than a gimp chimpanzee or you're going to regret it. You hear me, motherfucker? I'm going to find you one of these days and re-arrange that ugly little face of yours until you can't recognize it in a mirror.

Nope, just the idjit I'd been planning to wang right back the back of his head too. Getting wanged tends to make one's social skills a little less graceful at times. Finally got that apartment.

Yes, he's seeing it alright. Can't deny that. Not that he ever wondered about the hat, but that does explain it. Not that it could have prepared him even if he did wonder, and now he just stares for a while, expression going from surprised to confused to something like a wary frown.

[He's staring, staring usually means one thing, and one thing only. He also gave off a bit of 'yesteryear' in his vibes, so the horns would probably set him off a bit. She reached up and touched one before shrugging.]

Yeah, I've got my own place now. Somewhere I can lock up tight and make sure those ... things don't bother me as much. I can't really do as much about people refusing to listen when I tell them I'm dangerous, but the problem isn't an every day occurrence.

[Yeah, if the kingly level were being applied, Uther could be pretty certain she likely would never have told him. She had, for all her bluster and strong will, the squirrely methods of someone who hid in the lowest runs of society or the wilds to avoid detection/causing a problem. They were infuriatingly hard to catch at times.]

[This goes against everything he would have liked to believe about... something of some kind of magic. He can't really place what he would call Samantha, but perhaps something demonic. It's just so...

He's surprised that she's so aware of things, of herself, and he doesn't know exactly how to take it.]

I presume there are people who want you dead.

[If she's on the run in her own world, then he's not sure what else there could be to it. Might be a bit more complicated, he supposes, but in the end...

What else could there be?]

After the incident on the helipad? Almost certainly, but that was their own fault for starting shit they couldn't finish. I know of a few people back home who probably want me dead. The snake definitely wants that, but I broke her toy, so that's even less surprising.

It's not the ones that want me dead I worry about, really. Those are easy to respond to, and really... really futile in the end.

[He narrows his eyes.]

If someone tries to kill you, you fight back, or you escape them and get somewhere they won't bother you. It's easy to respond to someone who hates you that you have no reason to care about.

People who want things from you can be infinitely more complicated. For me especially, since the people who do sometimes want it because I'm half demon. Those people... I avoid like the plague, but they have a way of finding me.

[No reason to care about... A woman who is half demon, and yet... she seems so far from demonic. He wouldn't have expected that.

The snake wanted puppets for her criminal schemes. I would have been a convenient addition to her gang, if I hadn't gone and broken her toy and set it loose again, away from her mental controls.

My father? I don't know what he wants, though I suspect he wants me to turn completely demonic. God only knows why.

Judas? [Shudder] I don't want to know what Judas OR that vampire bitch wanted from me.

[She would feel so much better if she realized Diva was gone.]

[Perhaps he feels a little bad about asking all these question, because he's not sure whether Samantha really doesn't like that or how much she actually cares. But he needs to... work it out.

It's a very weird feeling, because he wouldn't normally, but... Nothing here is normal anymore.]

Yeah. I don't like having my side picked for me in the eternal wars of heaven and hell just because my dad was a monster, and I really don't like my demonic half, so yes. I'd much rather be human.

When you say 'I see' it has the sort of tone I'm used to hearing from someone who's trying to figure out if I'm a liability that needs to get squashed before I become a real problem.

He'll just... be honest, then. Even if it makes him a little uncomfortable. Not like he's not constantly uncomfortable in Asgard anyway.]

Had we been in my kingdom I would have had you put down without hesitation. There have been... several factors that have occurred here that make it difficult for me to still be certain I would.

[Meaning he's question if things are really as simple as he has thought for a long time.]

Had we been in your kingdom, I'd probably have been hiding in the woods, far away from most people's gaze. That's what I did most of my life. But thanks for the honesty, I guess.

I'm finding this place doesn't exactly lend itself to handling things the same way you always did.

You're not going to have an easy time here, but I have a feeling you know that already. You're not the only person I've met who seems to hunt. You're just... more reasonable than the others.

I don't know that I'm going to be much help. I don't usually inspire confidence in a person's sanity on my bad days. Not sure if it's better we meet, or don't, one of these days.
