005 - Video (Accidentally not private to Gamzee)

[It's about two hours after Samantha met Gamzee for the first time. She's got a splitting headache and a nasty snarl on her face as she's holding an ice pack to her head. Her original intent in setting this post up is to make this a private post to the troll, but either because of that splitting headache, the fact that she's not 100% sure which is his account or just being in an angry rush, she's not getting the privacy thing quite right. So everyone gets to hear her cuss that looks at the video.]

Hey! Gamzee!

Round one, you dumbass, troglodyte clown. You win round one. The next time you try to wang me over the head, you bloody well swing better than a gimp chimpanzee or you're going to regret it. You hear me, motherfucker? I'm going to find you one of these days and re-arrange that ugly little face of yours until you can't recognize it in a mirror.

Splitting headache a friend says he's going to help with and I want to kick a certain troll's face in, but otherwise peachy. How about you?

That's good that you've got somebody to help with it.

I'm kinda bored. There's stuff to do, but not having work is weird.

There's jobs around if you want to find something to occupy your time, you know. No reason you don't have to have a job around here.

I've never had a job aside from being a soldier.

Well, you're a soldier right now again, after a fashion. Maybe ask over at the bank and see if they need a security guard. You look young, but you're still a traveler.

I hadn't thought of that. I might give that a shot.

Let me know how that goes for ya if you do. Gotta be something good about being a traveler, right?

You'd think so, but never bank on them knowing what the hell they're doing.

I don't expect most people to know what they're doing.

See, I knew there was a reason I didn't actively dislike you. You've got a shred of common sense to you.

[That gets the tiniest of chuckles out of him.]

You're the second person to tell me I've got common sense recently.

Well, I tend to call it like I see it. I'm not as well known for it. Just survival instincts, honestly.

Survival instincts are good to have, though. They're a kind of common sense in their own way.

A lot more limited, but yeah. I generally like having them around. Real common sense, though, needs experience. I don't have a lot of life experience, since I spent my time with my mother mostly.

I'm sure you'll be able to get life experience here. It seems like there's plenty that goes on.

[He pauses as he contemplates the thought of spending time with a parent, and his normally neutral expression gets replaced with a small, rather distant frown. When he does speak again, he sounds sincere, but... detached.]

Did you get along with her?

My mother? Absolutely. She was pretty much my entire world for a long time. I've been kind of struggling to get the world to make sense without her for the last year, really. She'd know how to handle some of this crap.

[He nods.]

I'm sure there are people you can ask for advice around here.

There are a few, and I almost trust some of them, so there's that. I'll probably try and get some advice on a few things eventually.

I hope they're able to help. You don't need to completely trust someone to ask for their opinion or advice.

We'll see. Even a little trust isn't easy with me. You take care, though.
