[The audio comes on first, and muttered cursing can be heard along with a few loud thumps.]

Frell! Just how does this piece of dren work?!

[The feed suddenly comes to life and a dark haired woman is seen glaring. It takes her a few to realize the feed is indeed on, but even when she does, she's still glaring. It was just a tad bit obvious that she is more than just a little unhappy.]

What the FRELL is going on?

[She pauses for a moment, and with discernible effort makes herself calm down.]

Now will someone kindly explain to me where exactly I am? I've never heard of this Arse-gard. And more importantly where are Moya and the others? [Pauses again, her scowl returning.]

Where is Crichton? I want to see him! Now!

So they'd rather stay in a place where they are the playthings for these so-called Gods? [Ridiculous.]

They must be close if they are able to see all that happens.

I can only imagine their gods must be worse. Or, perhaps, they seek to overthrow them and cast them from this place. It is not as if gods have no weaknesses.

Close, but yet far enough to elude any searches for them. If they can flout the barriers between realities so easily, it may very well be they reside within a different reality.

So they hide from us. [Cowards. Not surprising.]

It raises the question though, of what precisely they are trying to hide. Aside from my own suspicions, that is.

And what do you suspect they're hiding?

The artefact I imagine they used to bring us here. Or something else of equal importance, such as what is keeping us here or restraining our abilities.

[Because he totally doesn't believe that exploding schtick was not some bullcrap trick. Not like real gods haven't done that kind of thing ad nauseum or anything]

Hmmm... Perhaps I shall have to explore this place to see if I can find this artefact of theirs.

I believe there are a few who have dedicated themselves to mapping out the area. If anything of the kind has actually been done, that might narrow things down a bit.

Not precisely. Many seem bizarrely content with things as they are -- some variation on Ragnarok, apparently -- or else have decided to help these 'gods'. Though there are a fair number who oppose them, albeit we seem to be biding our time until a weakness is found.

Are they drugged? Brainwashed? [Aeryn can't understand why not everyone would be in an uproar about this place.]

Any number of things, really. Complacency, duty, the claim that all of our worlds will perish should this "war" be lost...take your pick. Perhaps this last one is why so many are content to allow the 'gods' to dictate their orders.
