[The audio comes on first, and muttered cursing can be heard along with a few loud thumps.]

Frell! Just how does this piece of dren work?!

[The feed suddenly comes to life and a dark haired woman is seen glaring. It takes her a few to realize the feed is indeed on, but even when she does, she's still glaring. It was just a tad bit obvious that she is more than just a little unhappy.]

What the FRELL is going on?

[She pauses for a moment, and with discernible effort makes herself calm down.]

Now will someone kindly explain to me where exactly I am? I've never heard of this Arse-gard. And more importantly where are Moya and the others? [Pauses again, her scowl returning.]

Where is Crichton? I want to see him! Now!

I'm a former Peacekeeper. I was born out in space and shall hopefully die in space. [Not here. Whatever else happens, she's not going to die in Arse-gard.]

What is known for sure then?

In space? [He narrows his eyes, trying to make sense of her words. Alas his effort is in vain.]

They are powerful, and they can toy with us with no warning.

[She stares at him, trying to decide if he's just being a drannit or not. She decides he's truly clueless.]

Space - [She points up.] Up there, where the stars are.

I'm no one's toy.

[He looks up where she points, and then back at the screen. His eyes are a little wide.]

How can you live there? Can you fly?

[His tone turns sympathetic again] Until we can find a way to extend our powers we are at the mercy of the Gods.

[Oh, primitive being. Marvelous.] No. I live in a ship.

[She snorts.] I believe in no Gods. Not even the ones in this place.

A ship? But those -- are used in the ocean.

[He feels silly pointing out the obvious but there's clearly some misunderstanding here.]

I cannot tell you what to believe but their existence is a fact we must live with.

[She's being punished. That's the only thing she can think of as to why she's even having to have this conversation.]

Perhaps in your primitive world. Where I'm from we've been in space for many many cycles.

[She scowls.] Do we now?

[Hey now there's no need for insults, he came in peace.]

Worlds differ greatly, some may not take kindly to their home being referred as primitive.

[He among them, but he doesn't take offence either.]

Yes. Their existence and their powers are not a matter of faith, they are a matter of fact.

[He might have a point, but not being able to obtain space travel pretty much equals primitive in her books.]

What is your world's technological level?

And I am meant to be in what exactly? Awe or fear? Because I am feeling neither.

Most everything in this world is strange to me, if that answers your question.

[He shakes his head] You're meant to understand your predicament. I find it is always best to know what you are facing.

So primitive. [No offense, she's just blunt.]

What's there to understand? No of it makes any sense.

[He doesn't want to argue, first days are a strain on their own so he lets it drop for now.]

Because it is still new. No matter how...advanced...your world may be, you will find things here that will shock you.

[DON'T BE SO SURE THERE!]

And what might shock me here? Gods? I don't believe in them.

These Gods are not hidden, you can see and speak to them. Their presence is fact.

And you believe them to be Gods because they say they are? [Pfft.]

Their power is undeniable - they trap all of us here, take away powers from those who had them, bestow new ones even on those of us who never possessed such things...they bring back the dead...

So they have powers. Big frelling deal. [SHE REFUSES TO BELIEVE.] That does not make them Gods.

Powers that exceed anything I've ever seen. But call them what you wish.

[OKAY She's not going to make a crack about his primitive world. SHE COULD, but she won't.]

[Since there is clearly nothing else he can do for her. It seems to him she simply isn't ready to listen to what he has to say.]

[Sorry, she has no people skills and doesn't even say good bye before she terminates the video. She has some planning to do.]
