[It's been a while since he's shown himself on the network. Shu's been dwelling on things way too much lately and he needs to talk things out with someone. Anyone really. Being taken off the battle front gave him some time for self reflecting. Back home he wasn't fortunate enough to have this sort of free time so he may as well take advantage of it.]

What do you think about when the people you care for leave one after another?

You can't go back to the things were before. It's impossible.

There's only one option for you left. To move forward.

How do you cope with that? How do you move on? It's different for everyone, I guess.

[1.If you're awake at 3 am you can find Shu laying in a patch of grass near the Gefion Park in the Baldr district. Bumming around late at night stargazing.

He couldn't sleep at all and going outside didn't seem like a bad idea. Given everything that happened to him back at home, he wasn't really at fault for being so uneasy. The amount of stress he gained within a few weeks was too much for him to handle. Serious issues piled up and he was forced to sort them all out as a leader. For once it was nice to finally be able to sit down and relax.

There were some headphones in his ear and he was listening to the band Egoist. The vocalist was Inori Yuzuriha and he happened to be a big fan of her voice.

With that being said attempts at calling out to him using your voice might end up in failure. Music's too loud. Try shaking or bothering him.

2. Alternatively if anyone caught Shu while he was leaving his room/home at Odin you're free to catch him around wandering too. ]

[Diva is on the prowl tonight, because today her fangs started to ache. That was always the tell-tale sign that it was time to go find a meal, as light as that ache was. She had no reason to deny herself a meal here, so there was no reason to wait. Though she may have promised to not kill her meals anymore purely out of an amusing promise, that didn't mean that she wouldn't take her fill—because really, as petite as she was, an average man had enough blood for her to be sated and for him to live.

She's stalking through Gefion Park, hoping to find someone wandering, but seeing someone laying in the grass... That's not bad either. She approaches with silent footsteps (because she had discarded her shoes earlier), but within a few feet, she realizes that she recognizes this loser. And all the tension she had built up from preparing to feed leaves her body with a sigh. But that doesn't mean she won't kind of take out her disappointment on him. SORRY SHU.

Diva closes the distance with less caution, though still out of Shu's immediate view, until she nudges his head with her foot. Be proud of her, she was tempted to kick him in the head.]

[That sort of hurt actually. Then again it could be worse. So he took out the headphones glanced at Diva. He look like he'd just seen a ghost. Only because he hadn't seen Diva for so long that he found it hard to believe that she was still here.

That only lasts for a moment as he covers it up promptly with a rather stoic expression. Gai would not show weakness! Copying Gai poorly is all he can do at this point. Ditto.]

[Then he shows her that his arm was robotic and he wouldn't care if she tried to bite it. That would probably suck for her.]

Why would you want to go back to the way things were? There isn't really much point if you ask me.

[She had to do this and at one point, she'd wanted to give up. More than anything, she'd wanted to give up. But she didn't; she couldn't. She moved forward, the same as she always did. She picked up the pieces of her shattered career and simply moved on.]

How do you move on? You just decide that it isn't worth dwelling on and move on with your life in the only way you know how.

You're right, there is no point.

[Moving on wasn't easy. Constantly looking back and dwelling on the past holds you back from moving on. He knew this well.]

I already know what I have to do. [Keep trying to be something he's not. Gai happened to be much stronger than he was so all he could do was emulate that strength. Even so he needed it to go forward.]

Gai wouldn't show weakness in front of others. He would keep going no matter what happened and do everything that needed to get done. I need to do the same.

I'm wrong about a lot of things. But that's why I have to get stronger and move on.

[It was rare for him to have time to sit down and actually self reflect. Back then there were far too many things that needed to be done. Having too much free time was definitely unsettling and made him think about his own experiences every now and then.]

[ honestly, the first thing she thinks of when she sees the message.. it's when Amakusa left, the first thing that had that much of an impact on her. or even the first time Battler disappeared for a little while only to return.. it makes her feel grateful it's just text. ]

What does it matter what you do? You can't change anything about the fact they're gone, no matter what.

[None of it happened here in the city, but it still mattered to him. It's text because he doesn't want to cry all over voice messages. It works out for both of them.]

Back home Gai's dead.

The one who killed him was me. Not just him, Hare and Jun are also dead. They're all gone now. I'm tired of losing people all the time.

[He's a bit more honest to Ange since he's known her for a long time now. If it were anyone else he'd close himself off more. ]

In any case, she's passing by the park when she spots Shu. At the very least, she was pretty sure it was Shu. Just what was he doing out lying around at this time...

She starts walking up to him as stealthily as she can; sure she can't tell that he's listening to something, but just in case. Of course in hing sight this isn't really fair...

He'd been feeling uneasy for the past few days and he couldn't help but glare at the darkness. Of course, he didn't know Shiki was there and he was still listening to Egoist. [Accidentally hitting on a sore spot there. At some point Shu did force himself to forget all of the events of Lost Christmas. Which included his memories of his sister Mana and his best friend. But as luck would have it, those memories came back to haunt him in due time. ]

Your past will catch up with you eventually.
