[ Kaz's trip to Utgard? Wasn't exactly the best experience he's ever had. He met someone he wasn't intending to and now he's gotten himself roped into working for the Queen of Thrymheim and it's been a pretty subduing experience. "Go and convert others against the Gods." Great mission.

The perks are pretty nice though. He's sent back to Utgard without much trouble which means catching a carriage back to Asgard since he's bushed. Once he's close enough for the network not to be so unreliable, though... ]

What the fuck. I leave for a week and you guys almost kill yourselves while camping???? Seriously, how the heck are humans still even around? It's a miracle you haven't gone extinct by now. [Yuuko turns the... idk let's say it's a fancy incense holder because that is what comes to mind for some reason in her hands, smiling wider] I'll give you a silver rune for this.

What?? Only one? I want at least five for it. There aren't a whole ton of these here y'know.

[granter]

It's certainly not worth five.

[And I am just making shit up about this, so?! Yuuko pulls a silver rune out of her purse, but it's not to pay. She strikes the coin lightly against the it, making a metallic noise.] It looks like it's made completely of silver, but it's not. It's an alloy, like the coin. You can tell by the sound.

[Yuuko is getting her shrewd businesswoman self on, watch out Kaz. She pockets the coin again, bringing it closer so that she can look at the detail] And it's handmade, but I would guess by an apprentice... Some of the workmanship isn't up to par, though it is for a good shop, I can tell.

[A thoughtful noise, and she meets Kaz's eyes again.] Two silver, three bronze. That's more than what it's worth.

[ SOUNDS LEGIT, and Kaz is surprised. Jeegus just his luck to run into a pro. ]

Perfect!

[She did cheat him a little, though the value in her intuition of feeling something special about the object wouldn't be something she imagines he knows about to be able to make her pay more. Oh well.

Yuuko claps her hands together, digging out the coins and handing them over, and slipping her new little incense holder into her purse, where it fits nicely. But Yuuko's mind is turning, because she has been a bit restless without a shop to tend... It wouldn't quite be her shop from home, but in a way, a shop full of "treasures" was a bit more interesting than a shop for wishes. She puts her finger to her mouth in thought for a few moments, then smiles again]

So all of these came from Utgard, you said?

More or less, yup. [ A few things like some plants came from Thiazi's, but he's not stupid enough to try and steal from her. ] You interested in this kinda thing?

[granter]

In a way! If you couldn't tell, I'm something of a businesswoman...♥

[She chuckles, almost-kneeling so that she can help collect the items for him to put back in the bag] And your assortment of goods gave me quite an idea for a business I'd like to start. Just a shop of antiques and oddities...A store that sells everything. It's very well suited to my previous business experience. But of course, if I were to do such a thing, I'd need someone to supply my wares!

[parasiteye]

You mean someone to fetch stuff for you so you can sell it. That's a bit outta my way y'know.

[granter]

Oh, but I thought you said that you didn't live here? And that you had lived for a week in Utgard...?

[parasiteye]

That doesn't mean I don't have other places I wanna go y'know--if I'm gonna do you this favour I just wanna make sure it's worth my while.

[granter]

Certainly! But if you have other places you wish to go, I would be interested in whatever you may find in these other places as well. So I'll ask, what were you planning to do with these items? Do you already have a buyer, or do you peddle them off to the first offer that sounds reasonable? You'll undersell yourself that way.

[She pauses, to let that sink in, and so that she can give a bit of time to drop this information too...] But buying and selling things, no matter what those things are, that's my specialty. Because before I came here, I sold wishes—The price someone pays to have their wish granted can be a great many things, which means I have an expertise in the value of a great many things, and across worlds. You'll receive a better appraisal from me for the value of an item than anyone else, and I say this without meaning to boast.

[parasiteye]

[ Someone who grants...wishes?? That's a new one. Kaz isn't sure he entirely believes it, but she does seem to know her knick-knacks. He doesn't even know what an "alloy" is. It might be worth it to pawn stuff off on her instead of random npcs. ]

Yeah? You got a shop set up here yet or anything?

[granter]

Not at all! This is all hypothetical at the moment, but it would be poor business on my part to start it without a dedicated supplier, wouldn't it?

[parasiteye]

Hmph... Well, you get that shop going and I might be able to work something out for you. Just tell me what you need.

[granter]

Well, that's admittedly hard to say! My choosing of merchandise is based on... You might as well call it intuition here.

[She shrugs, brightening] But at the very least, I could teach you some basic tips for things to look out for! You don't have that sense, I can tell, but there are some physical things you can look for that can at least give you an idea of whether something would appeal to me or not. ♥

Sure, s'long as it gets me paid. You get that shop running and gimme a call.

[granter]

I have plenty of reason to now, at least. I'll be sure to, Kaz.

[She considers him for a moment, then her smile widens] Oh, one other question, though...! What house are you in, if I may ask?

[parasiteye]

...Hel. Why?

[granter]

Oh, I simply wanted to know what powers my potential supplier might have. They could come in handy, after all. So Hel...

[She pauses thoughtfully] ...That would mean body or shadow control, yes?

[parasiteye]

Yeah. You know your stuff pretty good.

[granter]

It's something of a compulsion to know as much about a place as I can! Whether it's being cautious or just informed, I would be a poor witch without that trait. [But she continues without a beat, since her being a witch isn't anything to dwell on, she thinks] But since you've told me, it's only fair that I tell you my own house, yes? I'm in the Loki household.

Of course. How would someone sell wishes otherwise?

Well I didn't really believe that part. Since when do Witches offer up community service?

[granter]

Oh, they don't. Did I say I was giving away those wishes freely? [She chuckles] Anyone that wanted me to grant their wish had to pay the proper price, of course.
