[After getting back from the camping trip with most likely second degree burns coating her palms the first thing Lisbeth did was sleep for a few hours. After waking up with a horrible headache and what she could mildly self-diagnose as a low-grade fever she decided it was time to stop sucking it up. Her hands and arms hadn't been treated and the hour directly after being burned she rubbed her hands in cold dirt.
Time to get a doctor or a person with damage-drain on hand. (Hah.)]
text to all;
anyone with damagedraining at any level willing to take on burned hands or at least relieving the pain/
will pay fee
&release location upon agreement.
video to all;
[To prove she's not lying and to have the severity of her burns diagnosed better, Lisbeth has the video turn over to her hands which are blistered, red and swollen to look at. Normally she has thin, dainty, breakable fingers but the digits are thick and there are black fibers in the skin of her palm from where her gloves melted to them for a few seconds. It was enough time to be painful. She needs her hands, they're her trade and how she communicates and she needs them.
It's a wonder she can type at all but it only proves how stubborn she really is.]

[Lisbeth had a Beckett-y quality to her, at least in her stubborness. Maybe that was why he wanted to help her so much.]
I can take you if you want.
video;
Personal experience proves otherwise but....
she looks at her hands and twists her mouth, thinking. And then in the smallest voice possible.]
I would like that.
[Even though she doesn't know Castle well, she's reminded of Mikael too much to not have a sense of comfort around him. It works like a balm against her nerves enough to let her trust him to actually help her.]
video;
[The video showed him standing and moving towards the door.]
I'll come by and get you.
[He wasn't sure why he was helping so much. As far as he knew, she was still somewhat of a suspect in Kate's disappearance. Maybe he just hated seeing anyone in pain and Lisbeth seemed like she'd gone through enough in her life already.]
video --> action
[She made sure to be standing outside the welcome hall, leaned up against the wall. She might trust him to take her to the hospital with her injuries but she didn't want him (or anyone) to know her room number.]
action;
"Ready?"
He looked at her arms, making a face at the state of the burns on them.
action;
She wanted to get this over with quickly. Despite the discomfort she pushes off the wall and walks briskly without knowing the direction she should be headed in with Castle.
action;
"So what the hell was this camping trip?"
action;
"Apparently Baldr thought it'd be fun to force some of us on a camping trip. Tents, and some food and juice were provided. And we were next to a river. After the first day these...things came out of the woods. They died once you got them wet. Or hit them hard enough.
"We didn't know they were scouts but after that, more came and they were bigger and on fire. There were people too. They could control fire and we tried to protect ourselves. I don't know if that was planned by Baldr or not but I'd like to give him a piece of my mind," she grinds the rest out and carefully avoids actually clenching her hands closed.
And that's the most she's ever spoken since arriving. It reeks of relaying information and her detail is taken out to make it a shorter report because that's what this is. A report.
action;
"That's ridiculous. Beckett wasn't there, was she?"
He had to know. Nobody had given him a straight answer yet on whether she was or not.
action;
"And you haven't found anything."
action;
"Not yet, no. She's still on the contact list though."
He checked it every day. Every hour.
"Some people think she's gone grey. Apparently that's what happens to you when you lose your bracelet."
no subject
It's much more optimistic than the scenarios that realistically Lisbeth came up with.
no subject
"Why is it taking this long? Should I be looking for her bracelet?"
no subject
Over the bracelet it was easier, she didn't have to be next to him. But he was walking her to the hospital...it'd be rude to just leave - much as she wanted to.
"If this was the real world it'd be much easier to find her."
It's a horrible thing to say, really. But it's all she can think of.

He sighed again.
"Anyway. I'm sorry you got burned. Burns are awful."
Castle had touched a pot once while cooking and nearly scalded the skin of his hand off. He could hardly write for a week.
no subject
She's carefully tiptoeing around this conversation. If Castle was to pick up on anything from the proximity around Lisbeth it would be trepidation peppered with gratitude.
"Thank you. For coming with me," it's delivery is awkward at best and she only glances at him once while she mutters it but she succeeds against spooking herself and she gave a proper thank you too. Not bad.
no subject
"You're welcome. Going to a hospital sucks even worse when you're by yourself."
no subject
"You said you were a writer."
no subject
If she was so interested in the case they were working here then she was probably the type to read mystery novels.
no subject
"Never heard of them," there's absolutely no apology in it. "They must sell well."
After all if he expected her to know about them then he must have a wide audience.
no subject
Maybe he shouldn't be so surprised. He didn't think his distribution was that high in Sweden anyway.
They stood outside the door to the hospital and he glanced at her, waiting to see if she was going to go in. He couldn't force her to do it.
no subject
If her fingers weren't burned she'd be drumming them against her leg now, like a nervous dog she wanted to pace but Lisbeth knew she'd have to take the plunge.
She sucked her lower lip into her mouth to worry with her teeth as she stepped across the threshold. She could do this - it wasn't that big of a deal.
She glanced at Castle nervously, wondering if he'd come in or just bid her good luck and be on his way.
no subject
He would go in with her, just like he had with Alexis, if Lisbeth wanted him to. He took a step closer to the hospital and waited to see what she did in response.
no subject
"Do I sign paperwork or something? Because that might be a problem."
Besides, she'd never checked herself in before. It was either police or friends.
no subject
He walked with her to the counter, trying to get the attention of one of the nurses.
