[ oh, good day, asgard. is everyone having fun during the hug fest? hopefully no one is too upset to notice on their bracelets a peculiar view: it would seem two bodies are currently hugging one another. normal, right? well, if one takes a much closer look, then it would be easy to tell that one of them was wearing a dark colored shirt while a considerably shorter person was currently struggling to free themself from the other person's grip who just so happens to be the owner of the bracelet. the identities are currently unknown until one begins to speak, or rather began screaming.]

L-Let go of me!! Hey, are you even listening to me? Miketsukami-kun, I said release me..!! [ but, fine, if that’s the way you’re going to play it she’ll try and act cool... or calm. neither will end up working knowing these two. ] I suppose I can let your sudden clinginess pass since this is normal for you. H-However, you’re far too close you know...

[ an instant answer will not be given by Soushi as he continues to hold onto his master as closely and tightly as he can without harming his petite master. it almost felt as if he was trying to convey some sort of deep emotions towards her, but is unable to do so. with Ririchiyo reprimanding him, it now seems as if he was being his typical clingy servant self. at least, it would seem as so from his lack of words or apology. ]

...Ririchiyo-sama, you are far too kind and considerate of other's emotions. I am at a complete loss of words. It is difficult to determine if I should apologize for my current selfishness or prove my gratitude for your... [ No, he could not say "wasted". ] kindness towards a dog, one such as myself. [ there will be another slight pause as he continues to hold her, but after a few moments more, he finally says: ] The urge to hold you has gone to past, Ririchiyo-sama. I am ready to release you. H-Hmph, I don’t see why you’re thanking me since I didn’t give the order to begin with. Should I say “You’re welcome”, even if that’s the case? If the urge to hold me has gone past, then I don’t see why you remain clinging onto me the way you are. Could it be that you don’t want to let go for some reason? How bold of you.

Not at all. [ another light pause, just to give room for the sparkles to begin to, well, sparkle. ] I would never dare dream of such a presumptuous thought. Yet the mere idea of being given such a chance to do so, I do admit, it will be a great honor....and a dream come true.

That’s not reassuring at all!! [ with that said, the feed ends with a whack. it seems Ririchiyo has either (1) stolen Soushi’s bracelet or (2) hit his bracelet hand. yeah, the latter seems more likely. who knows~ ]

That guy hardly knows me at all! [ It was a bit of a snap on her part, one that she instantly felt bad for as she stops herself from saying anymore for a good few minutes. When she speaks again, her tone holds a certain delicacy to it that made her seem gentler somehow. ] I wouldn’t say that he doesn’t know me at all given how many times we have conversed with one another. S-Still... he doesn’t know me the same way y-you do..

[The urge to hold his master again was beginning to feel increasingly strong. He wanted to pull her into another embrace as a way to agree with her words, but her earlier remark about not being suitable enought to be her boyfriend echoed loudly into his mind. No, he had to control himself from offering her too much affection. Right now, in this situation, he has already gone out of the line with her. Soushi did not wish to make things even more complicated.]

And he never will. No matter how much alike you and Ushiromiya-sama might be, you still have your own unique character traits that are different from one another. Differences which he will never be able to notice within you. At least, not the way as I do.

[In other words, Ririchiyo, this is his way of letting you know that he shares the same sentiment over who knows who more.]

[ The way he whispered in her ear was enough to make her jump a little as a small, somewhat content sound escaped from past her lips. Miketsukami didn’t know how much those words meant to her as a tiny smile surfaced on her lips as she leaned in closer to the hug. Whether it was against her will or not was debatable, but it would seem she didn’t have any qualms with doing such a thing. Not this time, at least. Never before had she felt this happy, and the happiness was overwhelming her as it was blocking out her earlier discomfort in being glued to her SS agent. Maybe Ange was right... maybe this was a good thing and, as much as she didn’t like to admit it, she was actually having fun being stuck like this. Somehow, it made her feel closer to Miketsukami; and not just in the literal sense of the word.

Rather than trying to get her hand back, she allows him to hold it as she returns the squeeze. It was light, extremely light, but that one gesture spoke a thousand words. Even if she wasn’t confident enough to confess her feelings just yet, the least she could do was let him have this moment. It was weird, yes, but it was a good kind of weird. Hiding her face, she mumbles: ]

That much is obvious. Not only that, but it would be weird if Ange and I were exactly alike. How would you be able to tell which one of us was which if we kept on using the voice function?

[Her reactions to their current closeness are not overlooked from Soushi's observant gaze and attention. Being able to closely observe his master are the few hobbies, from the past, that still remained with him. It was a special skill that will never be erased for its usefulness. Without it, then he would not be able to personally witness her softer, delicate, and endearing side, which are extremely precious to his heart and mind. Every time he would notice such things, he could feel his heart begin to flutter at such a sight. The emotion he felt all those years ago from witnessing a younger, even more distraught Ririchiyo have become much more powerful. However, he tried his best not to be too obvious in his observations or feelings due to not wishing to startle his master of watching her and his true emotions towards her.

A much more genuine and softer smile will be given to his own master in return especially when she had gotten much closer to him. His heart was truly beating its heart out. If he was able to stop time, then he would want to remain like in this very moment alongside his master for all eternity. He fully knew that such rare moments like these are, well, rare. It will be a while before he is given another chance as this one. The only thing missing to make this moment even more perfect, than it already was, if he could prove his devotion and love towards her -- with a kiss. Just one kiss would really make this moment even more wonderful and precious.

Their hands will continue to embrace one another while he lowered his head closer to the top of hers, fighting the urge to take one sniff or offer a nuzzle because he really did not wish to ruin the mood. He will happily continue to hold his master close, even after she speaks her mind which will result in a light chuckle from his behalf.]

If such an event was ever to occur, then please rest assured that I will be able to. No matter how much or perfectly alike you two become, as I mentioned to you before, I will be able to easily tell you two apart. You have my word...

[ This really made them look like a couple, come to think of it. She felt strange at having realized that as she stared down at their entwined hands, her heart doing that irregular heartbeat again. Was this what it felt like to love someone? She couldn’t say for certain since such an emotion wasn’t one she was well-acquainted with. Regardless though, she was beginning to think that with every day she was understanding it more and more. Love was complicated, and unlike with friendships, you were bound by testimonals and promises to one another. Love was when you felt like no one else in the world existed apart from you and the person you loved. Before she thought that it was too early for her irregular heartbeat to mean that she loved Miketsukami, but with every passing day she began to realize that love had no time span. It was unpredictable, and could catch you off guard and when you least expected it to. In some ways, it was a terrifying emotion since with love also came pain. It was a painful kind of pain, but it was also a beautiful kind of pain.

The longer she tried to hold back on confessing her feelings, the more sharp the pain became. It was almost as though it was trying to warn her that no one waits around for one person forever, and that if she didn’t tell him how she felt soon she would lose him. She didn’t want that. She didn’t want to picture Miketsukami with anyone else. But, at the same time, it wasn’t as though she was fantasizing about that type of thing. She just wanted to give him some form of courage, even if it meant telling him she wanted to stay by his side and continue to grow. Even if it meant telling him that he was the sole reason she was working as hard as she was to becoming a better person.

By the time Miketsukami lowered his head ontop of hers, she snapped out of her reverie in a flash. And yet, somehow, that one movement was enough to make her calm as she allowed herself permission to lean into his chest some more. ]

Miketsukami-kun’s chest is warm. [ It was said almost as though she were in a daze or tired. Well, they did say that people became sleepy when they were sharing body heat. ] It’s nice...

[Her approval of the warmth of his chest will allow him to chuckle lightly at her observation. He found her very endearing at the moment. A simple thought that made him feel slightly embarrassed and nervous, but joyful. The best way to describe their current situation was...remarkable, to say the least. He never once imagined to be in a situation quite like this outside of his fantasies. Yes, he does imagine them in all sorts of different scenarios -- some related to his work while others are impossible dreams that he enjoyed to imagine about.

It was interesting to note that he originally believed he would never find the enjoyment of the city's current hugging event. After all, the idea of being forced to embrace others was not acceptable to him. He did not wish to be forced to hug anyone other than Ririchiyo. She was the only one he felt the most comfortable in offering affections towards. Everything he has done thus far are true and sincere. There was possibly no way to do so with anyone else unless it was beneficial to. But now, at this very moment, he could feel his opinion slightly begin to change. Being able to be so close to his master, even if it was forced, was a moment that he will always treasure. Right now, he felt the most at peace.

Opening his eyes, he will silently watch his master until he detects the fatigue in her voice.]

Do you wish to rest for a bit, Ririchiyo-sama? If you do, I promise to keep watch over the network for any news on a way for us to be seperated. [Or better yet, he will pretend to do so because he just wants to watch her sleep.]

[ If her fatigue wasn’t catching up with her, she would of outright declined his offer of allowing her to sleep. However, she was finding herself becoming more drowsy by the second as she occasionally nodded off, her head going down and then bobbing back up to prove that she was still wide awake -- a feeble attempt, on her part. Miketsukami’s warmth really was, in some ways, lulling her to sleep as she was finding herself becoming comfort this way. Of course, getting embarrassed and yelling was bound to pull a number on you after a while as it zapped a lot of energy out of a person; especially for a person like her who didn’t have that strong of a body to begin with. Even as a child, she wasn’t the best at fending off illness very well as she would become sick after stressing her body out too much. Alternately, she became sick by thinking too much about something, much alike the time she had visited Kagerou during the summer.

Craning her neck, she blinked up at Miketsukami with somewhat blurry and tired eyes. Was he really going to keep an eye on the network or was he just saying that to get her to sleep? Either way, she couldn’t tell due to how tired she was becoming and the gears in her head were slowly coming to a halt. Sleep, it seemed, was something her body was considering strongly. Had she eaten today? She couldn’t remember, so perhaps this was why she was becoming tired so suddenly. Not to mention, she’d spent a lot of time in her room before. Then again, perhaps the amount of ‘affection’ (if one could really it call it as such) she’d displayed to different people had worn her out. After all, it wasn’t something she was use to doing -- hugging people, that is. Earlier on she’d been crushed by Kagerou’s weight as he had laid ontop of her. Apparantly his reasoning was ‘Holding back on my affections becomes taxing after a while.’ And to think he’d just appeared out of nowhere. Either way, she’d managed to escape from him and now she was stuck to Miketsukami. Compared, it was the better option. ]

Hmp-Hmph, when you word it like that I suppose I can rest for a while. Today has been quite exhausting, after all.

They are almost like kindred spirits, who can easily understand one another. [Which he is sorta jealous of, to be honest. But, regardless, his smile will be soft as he begins to sparkle.] Their relationship with one another is very precious. I do hope their relationship will continue to grow and get better acquainted. [ Battler's mind goes to the family conference, and then one of the games that he played against Beatrice, where Ange finally interfered. Her talk of how lonely she was, and how much she wanted him to come home. Ririchiyo's situation is probably a lot different then hers. Despite that.... Someone like that is probably hiding something that is bringing them pain.

Though, it doesn't take a personality like that to cover for what wounds someone has. Beato was like that, too. ] ... At first I just did what I could to push Ange towards having friends. It didn't matter who, but... This is what she needs. I don't know about Ririchiyo's situation in her own world, but something tells me that she has more in common with Ange then it seems. They might be just what each other needs.

[Ririchiyo's history is more or less similiar to his own, but unlike him, who lost the ability to feel emotions such as compassion, interests, sympathy, she did not manipulate others to get all that she wanted. As Kagerou explained to him before over the letters, she was dense over such matters as not thinking of asking someone else to write his letters in return for her.]

Your dear sister's existance has left a deep mark upon my master's heart. It is rare for anyone to do so. My master is not one to... [What would be the best way to describe it?] ...allow others to get too close to her. Only those who truly understand her way of communicating will be able to succeed in becomming someone of important. [ Hearing that makes Battler expression soften significantly. Ange truly was strong -- going through everything she did when she was little, and then what she had gone through back at home... To be able to show kindness, even if it was subtle-- it made Battler proud to call her his little sister for sure. ]

... Yeah, that sounds a lot like her. Though, I owe you a lot, too. Ange... she needs friends, especially now. But, I'm pretty proud of her, you know. I've told you that her home life wasn't the easiest-- in fact, it was pretty damn complicated. In fact, it's almost surprising to hear that she's made friends here without my help entirely. So... I think that it's been a pretty mutual feeling for the two of you. The more friends she has, the better.

[At the gratitude, Soushi will, in a way, shy away from it by looking elsewhere. After all, he did not believe he has done anything to help Ushiromiya. She has always been known as a strong individual in his eyes, so it was not good to take credit for something that Soushi clearly has not done.]

There is no need to thank me, Battler-sama. Ushiromiya-sama is someone of great importance to my master. As such I will do my utmost to watch out for her safety whenever she needs of my assistance. If anything were to happen to your precious sister, I am unsure if my master will be able to cope without her existance.

[Friendship, huh? Was such a thing really that important? Truth be told, the idea was still hard to describe, but if Ushiromiya-sama looked at him as such, then he had no reason to reject it. His gaze will return to the other, a smile finding its way onto it.]

Heh, well... thanks. ... Before... I couldn't protect her. This place hadn't seemed all that dangerous at first, but it looks like I was proven wrong. [ He still remembers the stabbing incidents... [Battler is not alone in the guilty deparment about being unable to protect someone. Soushi could not help allow those memories of being unable to protect his master, not just once but twice, invade his own mind. His gaze will begin to slightly avert, showing some sort of sympathy for the other.]

Battler-onii-sama, you are not at fault for believing so. What had happened in the past few monthes was...unexpected to many of us, as well. [Speaking of experience over here!] This world had caught us all off-guard by their sudden attack against those we cherished most. I do admit...I did not feel any sort of dark intentions from our rulers, but... [His gaze will return to the other in a curious way.] I believe we all learned a lesson, have we not? We all learned to not fully trust in this world. [A light pause.] Also, the only one who is allowed to say such things about you in being "some big brother you are" belongs solely to Ushiromiya-sama. And from previous conversations with her, she does not blame you for the attack nor does she hold you responsible for it. [A smile will appear.] On the contrary, she continues to love and respect you as her older brother. If you truely want to make up for your guilt, then do not leave her side. After all, no one likes to feel the sensations of loneliness.

[At the mention of the friend's club, Soushi will begin to silently wonder about it.]
