I did. I had to be taught what a full spectrum of emotion was really like.

I think it's okay to not give a name to what you're feeling. Sometimes your heart aches and your words can't keep up with your thoughts, and other times it hurts like someone is wringing out your chest. If your heart races when you're excited or angry or scared, those are all parts of experiencing emotion. It's something you never forget. Maybe you feel the same way, or maybe not.

To me, it sounds like that person is important to you. Your heart racing is proof that you're living life to its full extent.
