I've been wondering. Is there some sort of dojo or some sort of similar establishment around here? It wouldn't hurt to get some practice and prepare for whatever is to come.

[She pauses and taps the sheathed blade at her side. There's no reason for her to think of this place as being peaceful forever. She expects to fight or better said she's looking forward to it, if that brief glint in her dark eyes is any indication.]

I have to be honest though, I'm not used to sitting around and doing so little. At the same time perhaps, I should be grateful for the brief reprieve from my world.

[Grateful...at least that's what others would probably say. She on the other hand is rather bored to be honest.]

Mmm, I'm curious. What's the one thing that makes you yearn for your world?

[Perhaps she's just trying to justify her own answer to such a question.]

What duties did you attend to before that require training at a dojo?

I was a student but I've always been involved with kendo. My father is the master of our style.

[Technically she was also fighting zombies...]

How confident are you in your abilities?

I give my all when assigned a task.

Father has taught me to not doubt myself.

If you have experience defending another person, I have tasks that could use your help. However, if you want pay, that may not be immediately available.

[Technically she had defended the group more than once. So she's good under pressure.

The offer makes her wonder though.]

I might be interested in the job but I need to know who I will be protecting.

[That does cause a problem, doesn't it? Near doesn't show himself too easily. Here, however, he is also just himself without the alias due to the technology. That doesn't make it much easier.]

I'd also need to know your character better. We can arrange a meeting for an interview, but I'd like to ask a few questions first.

Can you tell me about the people you have defended?

[That makes her pause. It's not unexpected but still...]

Highschool students. Most of them have never held a weapon before in their hands.

[She knows very well that she needs to explain it better.]

To put it simply, we were attacked by these creatures. Most students at my school were killed but we escaped.

Creatures. You hadn't faced them before then. [It could be that, or she didn't know how to identify them.]

No. They were normal humans before. Teachers and students...

[She can still recall the events in vivid details.]

My friend says it might be some sort of virus.

Whatever it is, it causes those infected to attack others, killing and eating them. It's not only our school that was affected though. It has spread across the whole world.

[That sounds ridiculously like the fictitious zombies.]

How did you face them?

I had my bokken with me. Crushing their skulls or perforating their head seems the best way to take them down.

We also tried to not make too much sound because it attracts them and fight only when necessary.

[This probably shows how level-headed she is.]

They're exceptionally strong but very slow. So it was better to dodge and fight only when there was no other way in order to avoid being surrounded by a mob.
