[ It's not unusual. The video just opens on a face: nose, freckles, green eyes the brightest of pretty, muted features and darting nervously back and forth. But anyone in the area may notice the trail of blonde hair leading from somewhere in the middle of the park up into one of the tallest trees where Rapunzel is sitting, relishing her surroundings and hiding at once. ]

So… Is — This is working, right? I mean - I've never really used a bracelet to talk to other people before and - [ she laughs nervously, toys with her hair ] Actually. I've never really talked to other people before in general. It's kind of — Well - [ sigh ] I just really have to ask and - [ she winces ] Sorry.

I need to know if anyone's seen a chameleon around. My chameleon. Well - my friend who is also a chameleon. His name's Pascal. [ And then the brilliant speech segues into a faint half-smile, a smile that eventually freezes as something occurs to her and, feigning bravery, she narrows her eyes, scowling to say loftily: ] But if anyone finds him and doesn't give him back? Or - Or they try and hurt him? I. Will hurt you. Because uh - I have a frying pan? And I am so not afraid to use it.

[She claps her hands excitedly, because it's not like... she's ever had one... it sounds fun, though!!]

I don't know what kinds of things you do at them, but we could brush each other's hair, if you want! Though, um, I think yours would take longer... [She laughs] I'm sure we could figure things out!

Oh. Um. It only takes about an hour. Washing my hair is what takes a long time. But I'd love to - to do yours. And we can make food if - if there's food around. And eat sweets... And tell stories and sing and share silly secrets. [ Not that Gothel had ever used this as anything but a method for finding out what Rapunzel had been up to.

But she laughs, the latter half of it breaking into a sob that's more relief than despair now. ] I wouldn't mind that at all.

[Diva grins, taking both of Rapunzel's hands]

Then we'll do that! It'll be a lot of fun! I've never had a sleepover before, so you'll have to make it good, alright?

I'll - [ Her nod is clumsy as moves to wipe her eyes against her arm so she won't have to let go. ] I'll make it the BEST sleepover you've ever seen. I promise.

And I never. Break my promises. Ever.

[She laughs brightly]

I believe it! Hey, do we need anything for it...? I might be able to get stuff.

[glistens]

Stuff? Like... [ sniff ] What stuff?

[oh... she's not sure, so think fast!!]

Um... Like food and drinks, I guess? Whatever you normally need for... sleepovers...

[ There's luck in that: she thought right! And Rapunzel smiles a small bit wider, nodding. ]

Food and drink are good for sleepoevers. And hobby stuff. Um. Whatever you like to do, I mean. Pascal and I usually painted or had musical concerts or made ships in bottles... Oh. And hair ribbons too.

Those things sound fun! I think my only real hobby is singing... Ah, and reading, I guess, but mostly singing!
