[ It's not unusual. The video just opens on a face: nose, freckles, green eyes the brightest of pretty, muted features and darting nervously back and forth. But anyone in the area may notice the trail of blonde hair leading from somewhere in the middle of the park up into one of the tallest trees where Rapunzel is sitting, relishing her surroundings and hiding at once. ]

So… Is — This is working, right? I mean - I've never really used a bracelet to talk to other people before and - [ she laughs nervously, toys with her hair ] Actually. Well, he mostly told me I wasn't ready for the world yet, that it was too dangerous for someone my age or level of skill to go out.

That's completely ridiculous! We — Both of us were finally free and now we're just trapped again? [ It's a beautiful place, yes. But Rapunzel doesn't care how nice and incredible the city is if her new friend's freedom - if her freedom - is forfeit again. ]

That's why I said the gods who brought us here can't be trusted. They're doing terrible things sometimes too.

... recently, they said we can all leave since the gates opened, but... there's something not right about it. A lot of us think it could be a trap. It's not the first time they tricked us.

[He's telling this so she's warned, at least. Before someone else puts the idea in her head.]

What? Why... Why would they do something like that to hurt us if they need us? [ Granted she's done contradictory things to get a point across but the whole "rebellion" thing is new to her. ]

It depends on some of the gods. I heard that some of them are really nice? Like Sigyn and Odin. I don't get why they do it either.

No. People are still wary. Even if the gates are open, there's no telling what's out there. Maybe once we've grouped together, we'll think about exploring further.

[ Her consideration only lasts as long as it takes for her to weigh this decision against leaving her tower in her first place. Then she straightens. ]

I'll do it. If anyone decides to - to go through? I'll go. None of us knew what was here, right? It might not be all that bad at all. [ What she doesn't say is that she's dying for an answer. And part of her - even if it's a small part buried under her complacency - wants to go home. ]

That's what I'm planning to do to. I mean, I know it could be a trap but... we won't know until we actually go there.

[Ven grew up with Aqua as a friend. He knows better than to judge girls as weak, so he's not outright telling her not to go.]

[ And she grew up with Gothel. She recognizes instantly that his doubt isn't like hers, doesn't sting or make her crumple when she wants to stand tall. There's simply a broad grin on her face as she nods again. ]

I'm definitely sure. And if you're there, Ven? [ she smiles, warm and genuine ] We'll be great.

[Ehe. He grins at the vote of confidence, scratching his head.]

Well, I'll make sure nothing bad happens to you while we're out there, at least!

[He thinks back on what she said earlier though.]

... you... use a frying pan, right? Is it that really effective?

It should be. [ Even if her sideways glance shows she has to consider it first. ] But if it's not I can just - use whatever else there is, right? Frying pans are very versatile. And very effective on principle.

It is? I never thought of that. I mean, the only ever time I use it is for cooking...

... even then, I'm terrible at cooking. I'm not allowed in the kitchen.

[He visibly fidgets at the thought of messing up more food, but blinks at the question.]

And when I mentioned powers I mean the ones given to you. If you're in Freyr, that means you can either grow things or make drawings come to life, I think? I've never seen someone from Freyr at work before.

[ That coaxes her to forced calm, because the look on her face is suddenly a lot more serious. ]

Whatever powers or abilities you had back home? It's gone here. I could use magic back home, but here, I'm unable to. I can only use the powers given to the people who are in Heimdall. If I had them, I could have escaped from this place by now too.
