[ A young girl around the age of fourteen with purple hair tied up into pigtails appears on the video feed, peering worriedly into the screen. She got the part about the ring that it was some kind of communication device, but how to actually use it was another story. What is this, some kind of Amarcian technology? She managed to at least bring up the holographic screen with a few pokes and record herself. She hasn't a clue that it's recording properly. ]

Where... are you...? Can you hear me?

[ She brings up the letter and map that the maid handed to her when she arrived. She struggles to read it: ]

You have been... cho... to...

[ She trails off into silence, then starts struggling to read it again. Asbel only taught her how to read simple words. ]

You... be...

...

I can't... I can't read it...

I dunno! We don't really have explanations for a lot of things here. To me, it's just... easiest to go with it. Don't waste time thinking about it too much, yeah?

Just... go with it. Okay. [ Sophie nods her head. She'll try! But she'll probably be questioning a lot more things just in case there are answers. She's very curious! ] I'll do my best to help this world.

[Chie grins! that's definitely the kind of attitude she likes.]

What's your name, by the way? I'm Chie.

[ What's our motto? Never give up! Since Chie is grinning, she'll smile a little bit. ]

Chie... I'm Sophie. It's nice to meet you and thank you for the help.

Hey, no problem! We're all in this together, after all. Nice to meet you too, Sophie!

So, hey, this is your God House too, right?

Yes. [ An enthusiastic nod. ] Together... as one. I'll do my best to help you too, Chie.

That's right. I heard Thor is a strong god, which is why I have the power of strength. Do you have that power too?

Awwww, that's so sweet of you! I get the feeling we'll get along juuust fine, Sophie.

And yeah, I do! Guess we have more in common than I thought! [laughs happily]

We're already getting along, I think. [ She giggles a little. Chie, you're so nice to her! ]

Hm... are we going to have to fight? Is it dangerous here?

That's right! [a grin! it's kind of her thing.]

And, well... it kind of is, sometimes. I don't think of it as being bad all the time, though. I mean, if it wasn't for some of the fighting and whatnot... I think I'd actually really like it here.

What are we fighting? Are there monsters here? I can't... sense any around... [ But that's because her built-in functions don't work here. ]

Sometimes. There aren't any around right now, and there haven't been for a while, but... there were definitely a couple of times in the past where we got attacked.

Did a lot of people get injured?

Yeah, but... well, things weren't too bad, I guess? Luckily, with the healers and stuff here, injuries aren't as big of a deal as they normally would be.

What about... deaths? Was anyone killed? Or did everyone come out okay?

There's a weird thing about death here... apparently it's not permanent? Or at least, the people who have died... came back within a couple of days.

Is that... good then? They can be around forever. You'll always see them.

Heh... I didn't think about it that way. I guess you can think of it like that, yeah.

[it's kind of creepy to think about, once she gives it a little more thought, but... she feels like voicing that kind of opinion to Sophie right now wouldn't do much good. did she have someone important to her who died, to be saying things like that...?]
