[ A young girl around the age of fourteen with purple hair tied up into pigtails appears on the video feed, peering worriedly into the screen. She got the part about the ring that it was some kind of communication device, but how to actually use it was another story. What is this, some kind of Amarcian technology? She managed to at least bring up the holographic screen with a few pokes and record herself. She hasn't a clue that it's recording properly. ]

Where... are you...? Can you hear me?

[ She brings up the letter and map that the maid handed to her when she arrived. She struggles to read it: ]

You have been... cho... to...

[ She trails off into silence, then starts struggling to read it again. Asbel only taught her how to read simple words. ]

You... be...

...

I can't... I can't read it...

[ That's okay. Sophie's got a baby face and her mentality is like a small child. Give her a moment to be surprised at someone talking to her! ]

[She pulls her copy out and reads it to the girl]

[ Even after having it read to her, some of it still sounds confusing. It's already a lot for her to take in. ]

Is the Eventide the name of this world? I don't remember traveling here.

[ It did say "Welcome, Traveller," right? ]

No, 'Eventide' is another term for evening. We're in Asgard, and I can only imagine that they mean 'those we've kidnapped' when they say 'Traveller'.

Then why did they write "traveller" in the letter? [ She takes things quite literally. Why is this letter lying?! ]

...I don't remember being kidnapped.

Well, in the strictest sense of the word, we are travelers, I suppose, and I don't imagine you would remember being kidnapped. I suspect they did by divine or magical means.

[ Then they'd have the power to send them back, right? Though, there's something else about the letter she's not sure about. ]

...Is this world dying?

I honestly don't know, dear. I don't think the world knows what it's supposed to be doing, either.

[ Purple hair... She's kind of reminded of Rika. IMAGINE THAT. ]
