[There is some muttered Italian as Caterina pokes at the hologram screen, not sure how to use it. It's very rude Italian. Not family friendly. Then...]

Ah! Pezzo di merda! Is it working? Obviously something is happening, but I have never seen anything like this before. How... no, that is not important right now.

What is important is that I am told I am here to bring color to this city. Perché? Is the color you have not good enough for you? It looks acceptable to me. And if you are expecting me to thank you for freeing me from the Borgia stronzi, you'll get no such thanks from me. Abduction is abduction, no matter who is doing it.

So then. Who is in charge here and how do I go about explaining this gross misunderstanding to him?

[Caterina sighs.]

Not now, Ezio, per favore. I am not in the mood.

[He understands. No one can really be prepared for sudden abduction to another realm. Still, he grins slightly and pauses, thinking of where to begin.

Also, hey- you might notice he's still got Altaïr's armor at this point.]

This place is more unusual than you may believe, bella.

[She has noticed, actually. And considering how she is in the same grimy underthings she was in during and post Borgia capture, she is looking at his armor with mild confusion.]

I am beginning to realize that... when did you retrieve your armor?

[That causes him to pause.]

I have had it for a while.

[He wonders exactly if they're recalling the same instant, or even the same decade here.]

But you did not have time to put it on.

[She is very confused. The last she saw he was running one way and she the other and he wasn't able to put his armor on and then the villa was destroyed so how could he have gotten it back?]

...Caterina, there is something you should know about this place.

[It's almost like a kneejerk response- either he is behind or ahead, and explaining it to others has never really gotten any easier.

Leonardo was the first to be from his era, yet it was his past, not the present. To finally see another from his time is a welcoming feeling.

But this? Caterina is from his time, yet she herself is speaking of things he has no idea of, no notion about. Which can only mean that she is somehow ahead of where he is, in his time.

...Asgard just got a lot more complicated.]

Time here does not exist. There are days and nights, but those brought here are not bound by eras or periods. The gods do not care about those.

[A pause, as he tilts his head.]

You speak of a time I do not recall, and I speak of something that does not make sense to you. It is rather obvious we are not currently within the same moment back home.

[Caterina stares at him, for a moment not comprehending what he's saying. As she begins to understand, she looks for a moment like she's ready to laugh. It's ridiculous, impossible... but many things she's seen and heard today should be impossible, and yet are. And though Ezio is fond of jokes and teasing, she can tell he's serious about this.

A look of shock and mild horror creeps onto her face as the implications dawn on her.]

[And then she falls silent again, staring at him. Her business side is never too far away, however, and her shocked expression gives way to a serious one. They have to know how far apart in time they are, if this in fact true.]

What is the last thing that happened to you, before you were brought here?

It was my return to Monteriggioni. [He gestures, implying where exactly he is in the timeline.] I had just arrived within the villa walls.

[And then, he sighs, because this part is difficult for him to say:]

Whatever has happened, per favore, do not tell me. I have heard too much about those trying to fix what cannot be fixed, and it never aids them. It only shall make things worse.

[She almost snaps back a response, something about how he should try anyway, for his family's sake, for her sake, for everyone in the villa's sake. But she can tell he's earnest in his request so she clenches her mouth shut and thinks about it.

And the more she thinks about it, the more she realizes the sense in his words. So she nods tersely.]

Then I will not tell you.

[Ezio can see, can tell by her face that it's terrible, it's something he is going to regret not asking about, but he knows this is the only option that will work.]

Now, what house did the maid say you belonged to?

[Caterina sighs and puts thoughts of the attack out of her mind for the moment. Right now she is here.]

The maid called it Freya.

[And now he gives her a curious look.]

Freya? I know of a god named Freyr, I believe they are related.

[She raises her eyebrow.]
