✿ Chapter 002. [Audio][Day 53]
[This time it takes shorter for Hanako to start speaking, although her shaky and quiet voice did not change considerably. Taking initiative and posting in the networks is still nerve-wrecking somewhat, and she's been struggling a lot to talk with everyone in general. Everyone as in, the people who didn't overwhelm her too much.
Yesterday she wastoo busy having a date at the Great Library with Hisao (trying to search for info about their powers, and not being much successful at it) and was just a little aware of the things that happened while she was away. But the most surprising thing was what she'd found on the desk in her room when she returned...]
Um... I... I saw that a f-few of you people... got hurt rather s-seriously yesterday...
[Pause...] I don't know of w-who attacked you... but... I am sorry it happened... and I hope you all w-will be alright... This must be... rather terrible for you... I am sorry for n-not being able to... word this properly... u-um...
And... I would like to thank... all the people who offered me help when I got i-in here... one of my friends was sent here as well and I found him... s-so... just, thank you guys...
[She decides to cut the feed for now, not finding anymore words to say. Social linking is hard and emotionally draining, sob.]
[FILTERED TO HISAO ONLY~]
Hisao... There's something I need to... show you... Something I found when we returned yesterday...

[Hisao got up and dusted himself off, picking up his tea cup and drinking the last of it's contents before heading for the door.]

These should keep me going till it's time for me to go back to my own room.

Well, I'd been told my power was healing. I still have no idea how I'd even go about trying something like that. I think I'm going to ask over the network tomorrow, maybe. There have to be others with that abiliity, after all, and they could maybe give me some pointers.
As for yours, I think it's a good power to have.

[Hisao remembered her room at Yamaku. How plain it was. Maybe, in a place like this, she could feel more able to bring some more color and variety to her environment.]
Who knows? maybe one day you can help this place become as green and pretty as the land around Yamaku.

... Maybe... I'll... think about it... and then tell you when I decide...

[He smiled at her - the fact that she was giving it some thought and not outright refusing was a great sign. In fact, he thought he might get her a small plant for her Birthday this year. Some kind of potted flower she could look after. Maybe he wouldn't even wait for her Birthday.
Then again, he'd need money, first.]

I wonder if your power isn't even more useful than mine, in a way.
no subject
...How's that?

My power can heal one person at a time, I guess. And that's useful. But with a control over plants..... If we're supposed to fill this place with color and life and emotion, plants are the perfect thing. Think about the difference between walking along a street just filled with buildings, or walking along a street lined with gardens or trees. Or, in spring when the cherry trees blossom... there's a lot of special feelings unique to those days. And that's something that can be enjoyed by a lot of people at once.

Plants and gardens don't save people's lives, though...

[He didn't want to push the issue too much. They just had different ways of thinking about things, he supposed. And that was OK.]
