And so the second of declaration of 'war' has ended and this conflict is becoming more pressing, though the gods still seem content to simply watch and do nothing.

[He doesn't know if they're watching or listening to these posts, and he really doesn't care at this point.]

The choice of whether to fight to assist them, to fight to protect yourself and others, or to attempt to keep from conflict all together is one that is becoming unavoidable. These choices are all valid, for differing reasons.

[He's all for choice; choosing to fight, choosing not to fight. He isn't at all interested in attempting to dictate which anyone does. But...]

There are many here, however, who have faced nothing like this before; who have no experience or knowledge necessary to fully consider the implications and consequences each action may yield. In contrast, there are also some with experience in matters such as this; some for who this is not new, or even entirely unusual. Those who are willing to share their knowledge, it would be of benefit to everyone to do so.

12 days ago a dragon flew over the city, set a few fires and delivered a message from the Fire Giant King. The King considers that the gods of Asgard have betrayed something and in retaliation declared war on the city -- Odin later confirmed this.

There were a few questions I wanted to ask while the event is still fresh in everyone's mind, so if you're okay and don't need to take a break from this stuff, please answer!

Since it seems like we should prepare for more attacks like this, I want to know what weapons and strategies people found most effective and who you worked with. If you were on the support side, were you able to keep pace with the injuries coming in, or did you need more in the way of support and supplies?

I hate to ask for this, but I slowed down a lot of people while I was trying to get to the hospital because they had to stop and help me out. I'm just never going to be able to swing a sword or fight as well as some of the people here, so I think we could use an... an escort squad to get the healers and everyone helping them to the healing stations around the city. It's annoying to be a bother like this, but if we could streamline it somehow, less fighters would have to be taken out of the battle to help people trying to get around.

My power was actually useful! It's not good offensively, but I was able to steal energy from them and give it to Kaz, which let him control them for way longer than he normally could.

Weapons would depend on individual threats, though blunt weapons, firearms, and Odin's fire magic seemed to be the most effective. It was possible to kill them with a knife, but slow.

I had little difficulty keeping up with injuries, though they were all relatively minor.

This is what I've been trying to jump on. I've had some interest, too. People need to learn how to defend themselves. Extra classes, weapons and self-defense alike.

That is your choice. At this point, there is no way to be certain what they have told us about what might happen to our worlds is true, or if it is false. It's just as possible they're lying about the consequences as they are being truthful.

The reason I asked you before, Nakama, about the individual who told you that it was necessary to fight, is because motive is important in this. We don't know whether the gods are lying to us, or being truthful.

Whichever you believe, and whatever you have experienced, provides insight into those who might be struggling to make the choice of whether to fight or not.

I doubt as well that war can be avoided. However each individual's reaction to it can differ.

I am not certain, as of yet. However I am not inclined to do the bidding of these gods on their world alone.

We have no way of knowing whether they may be wanting us to fight for an ulterior motive, or even to cause what we believe we are trying to prevent.

They aren't merely content to sit back and be quiet. These gods are even testing our patience with folly for each incident that occurs.

[There was a tone in his voice, a sharp amusement that suggested he was from it after all.] They are, after all, aware of the problems that may arise from being unprepared in the declaration of a war, but are more concerned with games and parties rather than working on a solution. It's foolish to give them the benefit of the doubt any longer.

The gods are entirely useless, from what they have shown us, so yes. They should be disregarded entirely from any sort of planning that might occur, should anyone choose to fight this war.
