001 ♞ Video/Action

[The video clicks on, showing Riku looking rather unimpressed and leaning against a stony wall. For anyone in the area can see him or that can recognize it, it's the bank he's leaning against in Heimdall's district. He's been out exploring a little bit here and there, mostly keeping to himself though.]

So it's been almost a week since people started arriving here. Doesn't seem like there were a lot of people before we came here, aside from the locals, and gods of course.

[He sounds a little skeptical and cynical at gods. Call him jaded, but Riku doesn't like being used as a tool for higher or better beings of power anymore.]

It might be too early to tell, but has anyone noticed a difference in the city yet?

[A pause and he looks almost contemplative and pained for a moment, but it quickly disappears.]

Since we seem to be on the topic of finding people, I'm looking for two. A boy named Sora and a girl, Kairi. If you know where they are, just tell them Riku's looking for them.

I've only been in town a couple of day so I don't know that many people but I'll keep an eye for them if they show up, Riku. And you're right, the place does look a little better.

Uh, thanks. For keeping a lookout I mean. [Pauuuusing. He feels so awkward. Sure, he's been away from home for a while, but she couldn't have aged that quickly.]

I guess since it's only been a little while, not a lot would change.

Pretty much. I'm not about to follow their orders or anything, but whether or not what they've said is true is another story.

Thanks, I'd appreciate it. Kairi's a redhead, and Sora's got spiky brown hair. [He smiles just slightly, a fond tone in his voice.] He's hard to miss.

[ Riku's not the only one that's got the right idea, nosing around and all. Kairi's been out and about herself. Fully fixated on getting a feel for the city. At least that was the plan and she had been doing a good job of it, really.

All until she had heard that voice coming from her bracelet.

And that. Makes her stop in her tracks. Because she could have sworn... ]

[ All the bracelet needs is a simple touch, but yet she misses the first time. Her depth perception seems to have gone from her just a moment, herself as a whole unsettled with anticipation.

But then- let there be feed. And with it? A face she hasn't seen in almost a year. He looks older. Not by a lot, of course, but the slight difference is there. With longer hair, long enough that some of it is draping over his eyes. Those very bold, very Riku blue-green eyes.

And for a while, Kairi... just stares, speechless. ]

[ And then there's that Kairi smile. Excited yet admittedly a little more muted. But her eyes are warm but also searching. There's so much she wants to say and so much she wants to know. But for right then. ]

[So Naminé's spent a little while having a look around the network, at posts both current and old, and she happened upon... this. She's had her share of surprises already, but this is probably one of the more welcome ones. It's definitely comforting to find a familiar face, even if the comfort it affords causes her to chastise herself; she shouldn't be happy to see him when it means he's trapped here, too, especially when he was so close to finally getting home before. Once she gets past her initial shock, she's quick to reach to turn on the video-- only to hesitate briefly, because this is rather concerningly convenient and she's almost suspicious, but in the end she finishes the motion and turns on the feed. Her mouth threatens to frown, but somewhere in the process of leaning back to sit normally again she manages to shove the frown away and work out a faint smile.]

[Were she to respond earlier, or if this was any other day, perhaps Riku would be more shocked to find her as... well, her. He knew that she returned to Kairi, to complete her, and it wasn't that he wasn't happy to see her. He really was! But after meeting two people from his past, unchanged and still the same age, and someone that sounded exactly like Sora, there's very little that will surprise him today.

He smiles slightly, a little strained. It's just the toll and a lot of confusion that's causing it though. Nothing of her doing.]
