Instrumentality Project. In Instrumentality, the flaws in every living being would be complemented by the strengths in others, thus erasing the insecurities in people's hearts. No one would ever perish, no one would ever leave, and everyone would understand everyone.

No insecurities in people's hearts, no hatred and no confusion. Your mind would be at peace. True Paradise.

In Instrumentality Project, you’d have to lose one thing and one thing only, which is what brings you so much pain: individuality. All souls would be gathered and united as one. This would create an existence where nobody existed singularly, but merely as part of the whole.

As ideal as that sounds, I'll keep my individuality. Thanks.

Why?

Because-- what counts as happiness is something you define by yourself. If you're not yourself anymore, how do you know it's real? It's like mass escapism.

No one would lose themselves. You would still exit, you would still be you. However, the things that make you unhappy would cease to exist, in a way. You feel that you are weak; someone who is strong would complement your weakness, and so you wouldn't feel weak anymore.

Rather than being unable to feels distress, you would no longer have a reason to.

I don't know about you, kid, but I wouldn't exactly call shoving my soul in with everyone else's so I can't be upset "not losing myself". [a i r quotes.]

Negative emotions are important parts of yourself, too, y'know. They're there to give you chances to grow up, or fail miserably if you wallow in them for too long. Complementing your weakness like that forever doesn't do jack shit aside from making you an emotional leech.

So you believe you can on your own? That pain is necessary for you to grow?

Duh. They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, don't they?

Instrumentality should not happen. Like you said, you can heal yourselves, you can grow in order not to feel pain. Even if you keep your individuality.
