[There's a very, very tall man on your video today, Asgard. A man in a bright purple suit, and sunglasses even though there's no sun to be seen, what with the oncoming winter weather.]

Yeah, so I don't do this often, the posting thing, I mean, but I felt like something needed to be said.

[And he holds up his clasped hands, opening them slightly- inside them is a colorless butterfly, flapping it's wings feebly.]

Since it's pretty much a given we are going to be stuck here for a while long, possibly forever because life hates us, I've figured I ought to do something with my time about the insect population, considering winter's coming and all.

That's right, insects. Because at least these things are way more deserving of my help than humans are. So, here's the deal! I'm going to be creating one of those...what are they called, butterfly houses? And you bring me any butterflies or moths you have hanging around your place. Consider it a nice little donation to the cause, alright? And I don't know, I'll do something like not insult you for 24 hours. That's a pretty good deal, take advantage of it.

[A pause as he frowns at the camera.]

However...if you bring me any dead butterflies or moths, I'll seriously punch you in the face. They have to be alive. Don't test me, okay?

...

And if anyone actually knows how to create a butterfly house in the first place, that would be kind of helpful too.

Freyr. You want to talk to one of his guys. See if one of them can draw a butterfly house, if you're in a hurry. Otherwise I'll bet someone has something like they can get it.

Freyr? Draw me a butterfly house... Wait, that's one of their powers, right? Is it permanent? I don't want it going "poof" when I least expect it.

...Of course I have priorities. Who doesn't?

Far as I know, it's permanent, or at least as long as they want it to be. It's one of the smaller houses, so figuring out what they do's a little hard sometimes. Only guy I knew from that house was a stoner that used it to make weed.

So, why the butterflies?

Good for him. Honestly, I see his point. I would be using it all for myself if I had the power, too.

[And he glances away, frowning.]

Because...they're just something I like, alright? You know, me being a Moth and all, even though we're in no way related...it's just a better use of my time to take care of them than worry about other people.

Yeah, though it makes permanence hard to be sure of. Dope tends to get smoked.

Well, ok. I guess I sort of see that. Besides, it's definitely something to do with your time if you're not invested in the whole war with the giants.

[Did it hurt that beekeeping would probably bring color to the city, or butterfly keeeping or whatever? No. Not at all.]

Hey, at least he'd have interesting things to say, unlike the majority of the populace.

Yeah, war isn't my thing. I've had enough of reckless fighting in my life, alright? So at least this is something to do so I don't go out of my mind and jump off a cliff out of boredom.

What'd you usually do in your world before most days?

Do it, record what he says, and then play it back to yourself when you're feeling down. Best entertainment right there.

Oh, give blood, drink all the sugary things, try not to killed by crazy humans, the regular Moth life, really.

Gone, like so many others, but I'm sure there'll be others. So... wait, you're actually a moth moth? As in flutter around and chew up clothes?

Aw, that's too bad.

[He throws up his hands, looking thoroughly unamused.]

UGH! NO! No, I'm not at all like those things! That's just the stupid pronounceable name the humans gave our kind, we're our own entire species! And we can eat regular food and don't have wings or fly, thank you very much.

Nor do we hang around attics. Or closes. Just forget about that stuff, alright?

What's wrong with attics? They have good hiding places.

I don't fit in them.

... How tall are you exactly? If you're normal human size you can fit in plenty of attics.

Six feet, seven inches.

There's no way I'm normal human sized.

Ok, maybe you'd need to crouch a bit. You must bash your head into a lot of doorframes, buddy.

Wow, thank you for illuminating me on an experience I've known for over twenty years, thanks.

And no way I'm going to crouch in someone's attic. What's the point?

That's me, mistress of the blatantly obvious. And why do you think you'd be in the attic? Not wanting to be noticed, of course. Like I said, it's a decent place to hide in a pinch.

[fluturi]

[A sigh.]

I had better hiding places than a dusty old attic, thank you very much.

Besides, think of all the stuff I'd get on my suit, eww...

Sometimes, you don't get the option of taking the best places. Like I said, it's good in a pinch. And if you're hiding, suits are usually the last concern.

I guess you have a point, though in my opinion, suits are definitely a big concern. I pay for the things to be properly fitted, after all.

[samantha_grey]

heh. I've never had that problem. You can't fit things when you have a two foot long tail coming out of your spine. You're lucky you can get pants that fit without slashing holes in them.

[fluturi]

Oh, right, the tail thing. Well, too bad for you, I guess. Luckily Moths don't have any such things, we're built outwardly like humans, even though our insides are considerably different.

[samantha_grey]

Yeah, well I'd much rather not have it myself, but that's neither here nor there. My insides are mostly the same as theirs, just tougher. It'd be nice to just be human.

[fluturi]

I agree to disagree. The more I'm unlike them, the happier I am. Really, sometimes I consider this form more of an annoyance than a boon.

The demon side's the one with all the disadvantages as far as I'm concerned, so it's probably a pretty different situation anyway.
