I don't understand why everyone is freaked out. I mean, we'll have to put off the plant-gathering expedition outside the gate until the flood clears up but otherwise this is great! It's water! Everywhere! And not even a drop to drink.

That last one is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY important. Because you can't go snorkeling with a potentially fatal injury. [ You can't go snorkeling in twelve inches of water anyway... ]

I think it's more a precaution than anything else, just in case. Stranger things have happened here.

But even so, it isn't like you hear someone talking about making a bomb in this place every single day.

An experiment with toothpaste? Sounds interesting. [ and that last part - for once - does sound genuine, since she's curious whatever she would do with toothpaste of all things.. ]

And you're sure said friend can be trusted with things that could potentially kill a person?

Trust me. They definitely wouldn't use it to harm anyone. I think they'd sooner eat dirt. That could be interesting though.

That depends on how much you know about the explosives...

AAAAnd on what kind of toothpaste you use.

I've never actually used explosives before, so I guess I know just as much about them as any other person might. I've never even seen them in action, unlike most weapons. [ bombs were one of the few things the Sumaderas didn't have, really. ]

And is the kind really that important, toothpaste-wise?

[corona]

You guys don't even know what I'm going to do with the information. Why do you assume it isn't important? [ Settled, she leans back and takes a hand out of the water to place on her hip. ] It's very important.

And... which weapons have you seen in action?

[entreats]

[ at least the latter question is more natural to answer than the first (even though it shouldn't be, life choices and all that). ]

Probably about fifteen different kinds of guns and at least one or two knives. [ ... ] And stakes. I guess I'll leave the more magical kind of weapons out of it for now.

What's magical about stakes?

They weren't exactly ordinary stakes. More like magically summoned demons who happened to be able to turn into stakes.
