Thanks. She's a police officer, so she's.. tough. [And incredibly sexy but feels like he should probably leave that out this time.] But she has a really strong sense of duty and she cares a lot about other people, especially if they've been wronged.

That's very impressive. I suppose she would have to, if she's an officer, the strong sense of duty I mean. What made her want to be one?

[He debates for a moment before deciding to tell Alice the truth, something that neither he nor Kate advertise very often.]

Her mother was murdered, so she decided to dedicate her life to helping victims and their families. And to try to solve her mother's case.

[She blinks before her eyes widen. She swallows. She doesn't say anything at first, honestly Alice isn't sure she should say anything. Does she say she's sorry even if it's not to his fiancee she's speaking to? Alice bit her lip.]

That's... I can see why she does that.

Anyway, she's great at it. She runs the Forensics Team here.

Eight. Or, at least I think I am. I've been in Asgard for a very long time.

No, I was seven and a half! But time is so very different in Asgard. So I finally just had an unbirthday party and became un seven and a half.

An unbirthday is every day your birthday isn't! You were born one day out of the year, that's 364 days where you weren't, or your unbirthday! Understand?
