Well, no way I'm worshiping the Christian God. [She flicked at her horns and smirked at him.] Conflict of interest and angels with kill on sight orders back home don't do wonders for my opinions of a god.

It was my mother's faith, and I kept it up. I've always found them... easier to swallow as a rule.

You sound like you have an interesting back story.

Depends on what you think's interesting. I had a psychotic dad and a loving mom. That's not really all that odd. The fact that he was a demon with delusions of grandeur, that and a few of the stuff that came after? That was a little odder.

Actually, no. The family structure's pretty typical. Mine own is.. not that far off. [His dad isn't psychotic. More so.. a rogue federal agent.] The demon thing though, I have to admit, is rather unique, at least where I come from.

No, I'd imagine that demons aren't very nice. Have you met Satan here?

Well, the horns come from something. [She shrugged.] He was an incubus. Other kinds of demons don't mate with humans .... often.

And I've met both Satans. I prefer Morningstar over the one we have now, but he was a lot less unhinged. I'm not sure what to think of this one.

[He nods.] That makes sense. Well, that's a fantastic thing to inherit, I'm sure.

He's.. kind of amusing. I think admitting that means I'm going to hell though.

Being a predator that feeds on sex? [She snorted.] I hope you're being sarcastic. I'd rather be a regular person.

I'm not sure the word I'd use for Satan, at least this one, is amusing. Personally, I wouldn't worry about hell that much with that one. They're definitely not from my world.

He's surprisingly normal, except for the appearance obviously. I wouldn't have expected Satan to be so up on human culture.

Well, he's the head of a group of creatures that live to tempt and confuse people, depending upon your mythology. Being up on human culture comes with the territory.

[Bless Castle, he doesn't have a lot of experience with demons. Try no experience, actually.]

Either way, I'm not particularly religious, so he doesn't strike me as someone I need to be very afraid of.

I wouldn't call him harmless. I wouldn't ever call Lucifer harmless... but I don't think he's dangerous right now.

His powers seem pretty limited here.

Although I'm sure they did give him a god-power, so he's got that.

Regeneration, if I remember right. Not exactly world shattering, but it has its uses. If you're in a pinch, the ability to heal yourself lets you get away with all kinds of crap.

You're asking a half-demon with daddy issues if she thinks you should worry about Satan. [She sighed.] In principle? Yes. Right now? I don't know of anything specific.

Yes, I was referring to more immediate danger rather than your personal feelings about him.

Honestly he's never presented anything to me other than indifference, but, as you said - Satan.

That's basically the size of it. He hasn't done anything, but I'll never let my guard down around him because of what he is. It's a good policy with him.

Yes and no. I mean, it freaks me out too, and I always prefer he... she... it...whatever. Clothed. That's the point. But angels and demons are weird. They weren't really designed to be like humans. Succubi and incubi are kind of an insult to the whole idea of child-bearing. Normally, they're spirits and they don't really care about gender the way humans do.

At least where I came from anyway.

It makes sense. I'll take your word for it. You've got a lot more experience in this area than I do.

consider that a good thing. Curiosity aside, most of them are a serious pain in the ass on good days.

Believe me, I'm glad I don't have experience. It's been enough to deal with murderers and other psychos.
