We don't know when this will happen, that's obvious enough. We all have our groups and ours jobs, but what when the war really hits? Most of the training has been more focused to combat and those wishing to fight.

I want to focus on defense. Not everyone is going to fight - you made that choice with your group. Everyone should be able to defend themselves. To feel safer. Would you rather be able to help yourself, or wait until it could be too late for someone to help you.

( Just going for the worst case scenario here, not the expected. But if you expect the worst hopefully you can get something better. Or be shocked a little into going with her suggestion )

There are a lot of options, included weapons training and unarmed. I teach hand-to-hand combat at the Citadel and self-defense at the school. I'd rather see someone try, and take a chance at helping than not make it through because they couldn't. Think about it.

We need to get together. Knowing each other and our abilities will help us start putting together a strategy. The better we can work together now gives us a better chance when we need to work together. We have to be able to rely on each other.

[His expression is grave, making him look older than his sixteen years, and his tone is serious as well.] We need to trust each other now and know our strengths and our limits, for when we meet our foes in battle. I myself would prefer to fight alongside someone who I at least have a measure of, instead of someone I'm not certain on at all.

[And as much as he talks about trust, that's one thing that's a little hard to earn, at least from him.]

I too, teach at the Citadel [ although in fairness he would much rather not ] and my services are available to any who would learn - the blade is my weapon of choice, but I have lived long enough to know most weapons and their use, saving those from more advanced times.

[ Though he knows he's not one to talk, since he hasn't really said anything, and right now he's a bit preoccupied because the bad weather did a number on him. But in times of war, there are no easy rides or handouts. ]

What we need is an organized meeting or something along those lines. Get the lot of us in one spot, 'cause like you said, we need to work together right now.

Maybe she'll finally be that one adult who takes one look at the teenager stepping in to fight for his friends and himself and say this is unacceptable. Ultimately he decides to because it doesn't matter. He's still here to fight a war. Everyone just has to be okay with that including him.

( Her telling him to back down would depend on a couple of things. Whilst normally she may wish to keep children out - even teenagers, here something's different. If he has experience she can't really refuse it. Skills and resolve also help. They need people, but even if he's in and does fight they can still keep him protected and safe. Keep everyone protected and safe )

Robb and I were in charge of the Guard before the militarization of the city. It was a kind of standing army, and at this point they've all been absorbed into the our group. [ she's got those notes around here somewhere... ] It won't replace practice, but I've got some notes about everyone who was in it. How they fought, their basic fighting abilities-

I couldn't agree with you more. There should be a mandatory meet of some kind for everyone who signed up as military. I'd be happy to help with that however I can.

We should meet weekly to talk - discuss information, and plan. More frequently to train. This first meeting should cover a lot of what we need.

I've been an active duty pilot since I was 14, so I can't really help with actual fighting but I'm good at pretty much everything else related to military matters.

We'll train you - get you some experience so that you can defend yourself at the very least. ( And help them when they got that far ) The meeting's going to be at the Citadel in a couple of days.
