[text - locked to anyone from beacon hills]
[text - locked to scott mccall]
[action - open - the general vicinity of sigyn]
[She would have just locked it to the pack, but she knows that Lydia and Allison are there too, somewhere, and while she doesn't know how much contact Derek had with them, if it was a lot they should know too.
So.
She also doesn't know of Derek had any friends outside the pack but it was Derek so she doesn't think the odds are high.]
Derek's gone. I'm taking the dog.
[In case any of you were wondering about the fate of Derek's wolf cub that is being renamed. SHE IS NOT OWNING A PET NAMED AFTER HERSELF.]
[text - locked to scott mccall]
Peter's gone too. Thought you should know.
[Scott's the only one who gets this because she doubts that anyone else would care. Not that Scott particularly cares for the right reasons at least his response probably won't be something along the lines of "good riddance."]
[action - open - the general vicinity of sigyn]
[After that bit of business is done and she finishes staring at the frost all over everything, she bundles up a little (she doesn't exactly have a coat, but she does manage a sweatshirt) and takes the cub formerly known as Cora for a walk. The cool air feels good, and while the frost all over everything is a little worrisome, she's not exactly planning on wandering far from Sigyn.
The cub sniffs her way through the streets, not straying far from her side, but not exactly keeping too close either. Eventually she'll find a bench to sit on for a bit, just getting some air and letting the cold clear her head a bit. Then when she's too cold to deal with it anymore, she scoops up her dog, cuddling her to her chest for warmth as she makes her way back, just before it starts to snow.
Maybe, when the weather is less crappy, they'll actually have the time to go to the park.]

There's a dog?

[She has a sense of what he's thinking but they won't talk about that now. Not on the filter where everyone can see it, but maybe later, when they were alone and pretending that they don't have a lot of feelings about this.]

Cora, in the meantime, is just going to sit cross-legged on the couch and try to keep out of her own head.]
no subject
Want to talk about it? [It can be the wolf cub or Derek. He's giving her an out if she wants it even as he hopes she doesn't.]
no subject
There's a moment of silence.]
It's feels like it's stupid to be mad. It's not exactly his fault.
no subject
[Which is his way of saying there's nothing stupid about it without actually saying it.]
no subject
Yeah. He would have.
[It would be easier if he was there for her to be mad at. She misses him already. The stupid idiot.]
It just ... felt like we were finally getting back to normal. I mean, not normal, but ... we were starting to feel like family again.
[Instead of two broken pieces of the same puzzle, with edges that weren't meant to fit together. They should, but there was something that was supposed to go in between them that was missing and they were finally starting to find it.]

Provided we actually go home when this is over.
[She's not entirely sure they will. More to the point, she's not entirely sure she wants to. She doesn't want to go back to the place where her friends are dead and her brother might be soon too, and there's something that Stiles isn't telling her.
Beacon Hills is a mess, and she doesn't want Boyd and Erica to leave here, go back to being dead. They don't deserve that. They deserve to be somewhere else, and she had hoped that if she could, she might be able to go with them.
Maybe convince Derek to come too.]
Or even better, he could come back, but instead of being ahead of me he's behind me. Back to when he thought I was dead.
[Before he gave up everything to save her, and he won't be able to understand what it means to her. What he means to her.]
no subject
The rest of what she says confuses him. He doesn't conceal that from her.]
Why? Don't you want him to recognize you? [Really recognize her. They were getting to know each other before he died as far as Boyd could tell. Why would she want a do over?]
no subject
No, I do.
[A beat.]
Well, sometimes I want a do-over for the first time.
[That first time he saw her, stuck in that death trap of a vault and knowing thanks to Peter that he may have to kill her in order to protect his beta and that isn't how it should have been.]
But I don't want to lose everything else. And with here ... you never really know what you're going to get.
no subject
Boyd nods. He understands her a little better this time around.] Nothing really makes sense.
no subject
That's what I keep saying. Stiles says it's par for the course.
no subject
How are we supposed to fight if we don't understand what's going on here?
no subject
I don't know. I guess we're supposed to ask the gods, but ... who knows if we can even trust them.
no subject
[He glances down at his bracelet and frowns deeply. It's worrisome the more he thinks about it.] I don't get how they can put this on, give us these powers, and never speak to us after that. How do they know we won't just run?
no subject
[Take it from a girl who's been on the run, Boyd. You don't want to run somewhere where you don't know the territory.]
We're in a completely new universe, in the middle of a war zone. Staying here means we have safety in numbers, food, supplies? If we head out there, we're in unfamiliar territory with no guarantee of safety. I think they're banking on us not wanting to risk it.
[ ... on the other hand, though.]
But they send expeditions out of here all the time. Isaac just got back from one when you got here. Maybe that's our way of learning the lay of the land.
no subject
I'll go if you come with me. [Erica can come as well. Safety in numbers.]
