[Roland sits amid wood, nails, and wire, scattered in a few small piles across the overgrown back yard. A little ways behind him, eagle-eyed viewers might notice a chicken in the process of laying an egg.]

Fiona Gallagher's... gone home. She, ah-- [He shakes his head, starts over, nodding at the house his camera's not at the right angle to show.] Anything in there's fair game. Odin 107, I mean. I won't be needing any of it. The door'll be open. Probably food and furniture, mostly - anything in the cupboards or refrigerator, anything not nailed down, bar the refrigerator and stove. I think the place came with those. [He shakes his head again, realizing he might be starting to ramble.] Doesn't matter. Corn, beans, squash plants in the back. Take them. Can probably see 'em behind me somewhere.

[Another chicken starts to peck at his sleeve and he lifts his arm, blinking at it.]  Ah. Couple chickens, if you can catch them. Is that all? I think... I could probably use a couple extra hands to get all this wood and a couple of these plants over to Freyr district. And I... to be honest, I could probably use the company.

Bowls. I'll need a few of the bowls to transport these plants in. Other than that... Plates, silverware, clothes, bedding. Doesn't matter. I'll be leaving once it's empty. If I'm not here, don't take any of the magic plants. I'll find you. [The tone of that last is too absent for it to sound like a threat. It sounds, if anything, like an afterthought.]

The door's open. Have I said... [He has, probably. Roland shakes his head again, grimacing at himself, and cuts the feed.]

[He says this as he starts to walk back--he's not one to waste any time. Or need thanking.]

[Then, of course, there'll be less reason for September to stay, but nevermind that. It is more efficient, and with two people, possible. He grunts and nods, walking a little ahead of September before glancing back and deliberately slowing to walk beside him.]

That’s why I think it’s wonderful that whenever they do have a chance to talk to us? That they are thinking of us. Even if it is just a little bit.

I suppose it might be a bit selfish of me to think like that but I want to see if the Gods are...well...nice?

[Roland's never been one for idle talk. Since September doesn't seem inclined, Roland doesn't bother. Once they arrive he hunkers in front of the glass again, comparing the size of the sheets to the size of the cart.]

Probably not going to lie flat. One of us will need to keep a hand on the cart so it doesn't unbalance. We'll lift half these in first, then the other half. Ready?

[The edges of Roland's lips twitch up, just a little. That's one difference between this place and his world - here, there's a better-than-average chance that the 'sweet and innocent' act isn't one. The thought's soothing, almost, against the pile of shit the rest of this day's turned into.]

I don't know about nice. I do think it'd take a lot to get one to actively wish you harm. Even those who directly disobey their orders have, far as I know, only gotten a night in gaol, at the worst.

[Which Roland considers practically doting, as far as gods are concerned.]

[It only takes him about 30 minutes to finish his project and cross the city--mostly because it's a lot faster to fly than it is to wander the narrow streets.

He knocks at the door of the room, calling out.]

Hey, cowboy. I brought that dolly you asked for.

[Instead of opening the door Roland walks around the side of the building, flicking the last tip of his cigarette to the ground and walking over it.]

Good of you to come. I, ah, someone brought a cart earlier, but I didn't think to mention- all we got moved was the glass.

[He's not usually the forgetful type. But, well. Today.]

[Fuuka couldn’t quite see the small smile that were forming on Rolando’s smiles but she could hear the change in his voice. With that, she couldn’t help but smile back.]

Really? What do you mean by that? I’m sorry, I’m still new to this place so there’s still a lot of things I’m not sure what they have done here.

Although, they wouldn’t think of doing that again right?

[Of course, she was trying to be optimistic right now]

Depends. The first - and only, so far as I know - time it's been done is when Asgard first introduced the idea of those groups. Anyone who refused to choose one ended up there after a day or so. I think they would do it again if they needed to, though probably only if it were related to the fight for Yggdrasil, rather than for any personal reasons. When that's not involved they seem to keep well enough to themselves. So long as you're truly willing to help in some capacity, you'll probably be alright.

[And Roland's only helping that optimism along, right? Of course he is. That was fairly optimistic, for him.]

Hm. A little, but mostly everything else. I have the feeling I shouldn't leave it, but I don't...

[He sighs, finishing the sentence off with a shrug and a frustrated expression.]

I have made my choice to fight but only as support. After all, if we don't a choice, what else is there? I don't want to cross the Gods either but...

[She paused for a moment.]

I don't want to die here either.

[Gods, wasn't one of those groups supposed to be a Welcome Committe? His expression's clearly disapproving - not at her, but at the fact that when she'd arrived, someone clearly wasn't doing their job. The expression fades as he explains.]

There's very little chance of that. So long as the goddess Hel lives, any traveler who dies here is brought back to life. I've heard there're consequences if it happens too often, but so long as you're careful that should be avoidable. The most permanent thing likely to happen to you here is going home.

[Tony blinks, startled a bit by the other man's sudden appearance, but he masks it with a laugh.]

Yeah well, it's forgivable considering the circumstances.

So, what do we have left to move?

[He's not very tactful, but at least he's making an attempt.]

[At first, Fuuka just raised an eyebrow. Well, looks like whenever Fuuka got a chance to talk to Harley, she was going to have a lot talk about being lied to. However, it also made some sense anyway]

Ah...I suppose that is the reason why some of my dead friends are here. I’m still not sure how that is possible but I’m not going to really question the Gods. Still, but if that nothing is permanent here, I’m worried as I once before.

But I still don’t want to die here regardless.

[He considers that a moment. Fiona always struck him pragmatic in that sense, but then again, so did Rose. And Rose really likes cats.]

Why don't you want them anymore.

[Or why don't you want any of this stuff anymore is more like it.]

[He turns, waving for Tony to follow.]

What used to be the greenhouse... I have to rebuild it behind the shop. Might take longer than it did the first time.

[Roland shakes his head. There's no reason Tony would want to know that.]

Your, ah, your suit. How's that coming along?

Your dead friends - if they died in your world - are here because travelers can be taken from any point in their lives. Time in Asgard doesn't run the same way time might in your world, or mine. As to the rest... there are things happening none of us have any control over. I can't guarantee you won't. But if everyone here does their work, you'll have a much better chance.

[He raises his eyebrows. Wasn't that obvious?]

I'm not going to carry them around everywhere I go. I guess I could start keeping them at the shop, but I don't need them that much.

[Roland's not avoiding the question. He's got a literal mind, is all.]

I see. So time doesn’t work the same way here, it just happens to be taken at random. Even though I might be here, I’m guessing my friends back home haven’t noticed I’m gone yet. [She gave a sigh] Thankfully, that is something I don’t have to worry about! I was worried that my friends were going to search where I was!

[And knowing Mitsuru? Oh boy]

[Tony shrugs, following Roland with the dolly dragged behind him.]

It's... coming. I've got an alternative that'll roll out soon for mass consumption. But, as far as restoring JARVIS or any real semblance of what it once was, the magic in the air here pretty much ruins anything more high tech than a modern toaster.

[He's just a little resentful of that fact.]

I thought the same, for a while. [Whether his friends would search for him hadn't been his main worry. Luckily, he won't have to find out just how long they could survive in a strange place without him. Events have, at least, been that kind.] But the longer you stay here, the more you'll hear differently. Everyone I know of who's left and come back speaks of stepping into the exact moment from which they were taken, carrying right on from there.

[He'd been asking out of politeness - and, honestly, for some little distraction - but now Roland stops beside the pile of what was once a small but fair sized greenouse and turns toward Tony with a hint of genuine interest.]

But how though? Once again, I’m not familiar with Norse Mythology but how could it be possible they can just bend through time travel like that? They are Gods but still, I wonder what else they can do. There has to be a limit somewhere.
