So I noticed. I've known people with similar interests.

Jim... I mean Moriarty the man, he certainly thought you could have your uses. A smart man, it's always nice when smart men appreciate you.

I take not a lot of smart men have appreciated you, eh chummy? Still, you must have done something worthwhile if you caught a Moriarty's attention. In my experience, that lot don't turn their attention to much if it ain't wasps or crime.

Most smart men I've known have feared me.

But some, of course, like Moriarty, either one, are special.

He asked me if I could think of something to keep you occupied. I believe he referred to it as walking his dog, although I think his comparison wasn't quite apt.

Terribly sorry to break the bad news to you, chummy, but I don't find you terrifying in the least. [ Than again, Moran is not a smart man, but he's at least smart enough to fear Moriarty. ]

As for Moriarty; he isn't my master and I certainly ain't his dog. I am not at his beck and call, and if the sorry old sausage himself couldn't come up with a way to keep me occupied, what makes you think you can do any better?

I'm not trying to scare you.

[He just thought Moriarty was intriguing (possibly attractive). Whatever that says about his intelligence.]

You seem a lot more dangerous to me than a dog would be. More useful, too. And I might have thought of something already, if you'll believe it.

It would require a lot of skill. He's dangerous.

I might tell you who Moriarty had his sights on if you do this well, which I don't doubt you will.

You never did say nothing about not killing the emu. [ Moran, no. ]

The emu is a lot more likable than the man is, so leave him alive.

I already believe you can kill. Killing an emo wouldn't be a great testament to your skill.
