If I wanted to harm children there are a lot more effective and easier ways to do it. They're children.

Of course. We have a history. Plus, I actually believe him to be a terrible teacher who shouldn't be in charge of a school.

At least one of them still tried charging into that to save the school. Next time target something away from them completely. Personally, though, let the feud rest. It isn't worth it.

The war's gone into high gear and they're conscripting now. Old rivalries are a luxury most of us don't get anymore.

There is absolutely no reason for me to care about this war.

This is my last chance at anything. Revenge is all I have left to aim for.

Well, in the end I'm not going to stop you, as long as you're not getting into collateral damage. This is between you and him. A lot of us have darkness in our pasts. Getting past it doesn't mean we escape the things we did.

Just. Collateral to a minimum. And sign up for one of the teams, or they'll lock you up or something. Care or not, you're kind of stuck with the war.

They don't seem to fit my talents, apart from the one I doubt people will want me on.

I've been locked up most of my life. This wouldn't be as bad as that was.

I'll take your word for it. I've never liked been confined, even if I prefer small spaces. [She sighed.] What group are you doubting they want you in, the welcome committee?

Don't much care for it either, but if my mind would remain free here it's better than what I've had.

I do doubt they'd want me, too, but I hardly think myself suited.

The Strike Team.

Strike team? [Her eyes visibly narrowed.] Never heard of it. Must be getting the name mixed up with the Military. Might be they wouldn't trust you, no.

[There was a definitely stern look in the video feed. She was on the strike team, and whether or not he would be a good match wasn't her concern. She didn't like speaking about it on open channels, even private ones. Thiazi had hacked this thing before and the Strike Team's existence was something of a half-secret.

Kind of like Fight Club.]

Maybe we can talk one of these days about finding something useful for you. In the meantime, though, supplies is at least simple, but you do what you have to.

[He would be more concerned with the secrecy of it if he had any reason to care, but either way he takes her cue. One isn't a spy for a lot of one's life without a few things becoming second nature.]

Simple isn't generally what I go for. But your interest in my occupation is very touching.

It's practical too. The more you have something to do, the less trouble you can get into. Hate's a luxury I can't be fucked with these days, not without personal reason, and I might get on with Snape ok, but I don't like him that much.

He's never been all that likable.

Don't worry, I see no reason of ever troubling you. I can't remember ever troubling you before.

Not intentionally. Like you said, you didn't target the kids. They just got involved, and I can be a little... protective sometimes, but I decided other folks had this covered.

You and I've never actually come to blows, and I doubt it'll come to that.

I don't intend to let it. I'm sure we both have others to antagonize.
