Hm...this has been bothering me for a while. I hope you all have time for a fool's question. It's about the food that can be found here, especially in the freezers.

Never in my life had I heard of a "chicken nugget" before. Where exactly on the chicken is the nugget? I'd like to know what I might be eating, since there seems to be so many of them.

Mashed chicken sounds even worse. Besides, they're more like... clumps of fried meat, so 'nuggets' would be more accurate-

I'm afraid not. Where I come from, nuggets are associated with gold, not something one eats when nothing else is available.

A chicken nugget is typically the meat left over after the chicken has been divided into breast, leg, wing and thigh -- too small or unappetizing to be sold on it's own, but when you gather a lot and mince them up small, you can shape them into nuggets and sell them. Usually they're sold battered and frozen, ready for cooking.
