[Anyone in the general vicinity of the hospital in Sigyn - more precisely, the vicinity of the Everyday Sunshine building - might catch Kanji at work setting things up, organizing cute bits and pieces and generally making a nice looking display. It's been more than a week since his stall's been open, and he's making up for lost ground.
Not that he could help it. Going home can be a drag like that.

He sets a sign outside, decorated to the point of possible overkill, down to having a (drawn up, sadly) plushie pointing at it: Craft stall re-opening!

And to announce things a bit more, the video feed opens from inside the building, set up to take the stall in the best he can:]

Hey, everyone.

Just lettin' anyone who was lookin' for my craft stall this last - uh, is it a week? Two? I can't work it out... anyway, I'm up and running again. Yeah, I got pulled home for a bit. [Shrug.] Not like I could help it, right?

So... the cute stuff's ready to go again. And I'm doin' a 'first day back' sale. Come on over and get it!

While I'm here, though... have I missed anything?

[So, funny story. She actually got on board to be Everyday Sunshine's detective service. So she decides that she should stop by the craft stall and inspect it herself. She needs something cute for her desk.]

Tell me, could you provide anything to liven up a desk space?

[Right, didn't he see the others talking to her that time? He's kind of out of the loop, right now...]

Huh? Oh. Oh, sure. What kinda stuff're you lookin' for?

[It happens, she often gets out of the loop and has to catch back up. She's a rather busy woman.]

What do you recommend? This is the first time I have ever had to decorate. [Look, she's really bad at this. Maybe...] Perhaps something that reminds you of someone? Can you do things like that?

Well, sure. That works. It's whatever kinda stuff you like... can ya see anything here?

[He hardly knows her, it's a bit hard to tell what sort of things she'd be into, after all...]

[This was probably some strange attempt on her end to get to know who she works around better. But. Socializing. How does one do it properly?]

I have an idea that comes to mind, do you know what bojobo dolls are? [Okay despite the fact that they look pretty creepy...]

[A problem he can sympathise with, honestly. Unfortunately, the name turns up a blank, and he frowns.]

Ain't heard of 'em, sorry...

[They'll get along well, then. Lack of reference has her drawing a blank.]

Things you already have set out are [for lack of a better word] ... quite adorable. You made all of these yourself?

Yeah. [He smiles.] Been doing 'em for ages.

Is it wrong of me to say that you do not look the type?

[Once, maybe. But now... Kanji shrugs.]

Nah, everyone says that.

[She is particularly interested in some of the smaller dolls, they will be cute around her desk. But there are more important matter to take care of before she actually purchases them.]

Have you been brought up to speed about things that have happened while you were gone? [She guesses she could be suggesting that she could help him fill in the holes if there are any.]

[He frowns for a moment.]

Not really. Saw a coupla shops were looking a bit bare... What's been goin' on?

You were likely to have missed the giants, if anything. We took a lot of damage in the process. I tried my best to assess the situation, [a pause] but it was too dangerous.

[She takes three of the plush dolls and lines them up.] i will take these, and perhaps when I have a better idea of what I wish to commission from you we will talk about that.

[...and since they kind of work in the same area. Her name, right.]

Giants. Ah, hell.

[But she's buying stuff! Just a second as he gets the calculator out...] Gotcha. That'll be - [He runs off a price - they're cheap for the amount of work that's gone into them, but not stupidly so.]

An' it's Kanji. Nice to talk to ya too.

Giants are a hindrance. But it wasn't something that we could not handle in the end.

[Hell yeah, and then there is an exchange of currency. Kanji is making bank today, maybe she accidentally gives him too much. A tip, really.]

You seem like an interesting person, Kanji.

[He nods, grinning: good to know that everyone had things under control...]

Heh, thanks. [He laughs, scratches his head, hoping she means it in a good way.]

[Mostly, anyways. Try getting killed by a giant. It's not pleasant.]

Are you questioning what I meant by that? [Snicker.]

Y- uh, n- uh, this is the 'good' kind of interesting not the 'weird' kind, right?

Maybe a little of both? But certainly not 'weird' in the negative sense. I don't believe you are that way.

[That gets a small smile of relief.]

...I can go with that.

[She chuckles to herself. That was a good one.]

I had you worried there. Let down your shoulders. [Did he even realize he tensed up there for a second?]

[He sighs, smiles, does just that-]

Yeah, just a bit.

[She can be pretty intimidating. Ah, but she has one more question before she takes her leave.]

I heard you had another detective. What were they like?

[...Why did she have to ask him and not one of the others. Why. He freezes for a moment. Hesitantly, looking slightly aside...]

Naoto... she was smart. Smartest one out'f all of us. Always had a plan. Sensible, but then she'd do some dumb things... ngh.

She was a... A good friend.

[He totally had a crush on her, didn't he. She isn't judging. She's dealing with those sorts of feelings right now.]

I would like to meet her one day, she seems like a dashing young woman. [She turns on her heel.]
