18th Mishmash ~ [Video]
[ The Doctor's taking a day off, so he's at home when he makes this video. More exactly, in the workshop of Thor 103, so there's a great deal of clutter behind him but if people pay attention they might make out that most of it seem to be toys, both complete and not.
He hardly ever takes full days off, but today he has a mission, and it's very important. Also very awesome, if you ask him, so he smiles at the camera and waves enthusiastically. ]
Hello, Travellers!
I've been making things. More specifically, I've been making toys. More toys than Alice and Clem can use, and they're sort of starting to pile up. So I figured I'd give some away. I was thinking I'd make a stall for it on the street, but I'll let you lot get first dibs because I love you so much.
[ He winks, and fiddles with the screen so he can turn it in another direction. There's a train track on the floor, along with a toy train chugging along. Beside the train tracks are loads of cars, planes, helicopters and animals, some made of wood and some metal or plastic. There's also a few Frisbees, blocks with carvings of letters or numbers or symbols to build with and, speaking of building, he has plenty of buildings and vehicles that are half built, with the pieces to finish. Do it yourself, and all that.
Then the screen comes back to him, and he holds out a rat made from fabric. ]
Also some things that could double as pet toys.
And that's not all of it either. So! Come on by and have a look. Thor 103. I'm here all day.
[ He reaches to turn it off, but stops. ]
Oh, and I can take requests! And I also repair toys, as long as they're not ruined beyond recognition, or possibly even in that case. I don't know. Never tried it, actually. I'd be willing to give it a go.
Or you could always just come by for tea and biscuits and company. I don't mind either way.
[ And finally he turns the recording off. ]

accidental video response, is that even a thing?
All the Doctor will be receiving is Soushi staring at his bracelet, then moving his bracelet away as he begins to speak under his breath "I shouldn't" then some more muttering that was hard to decipher as he was actually having a discussion with himself over the matter if he should ask for one or should he just ignore the video all together. It was a tough decision.]
...one toy should be more than enough. Murai-san's mirror and minature diving pool should be more than enough. [But he actually wants to play with them which embarrassed him.] ...I've never been interested in toys before, so why would I want.... [Yup. The Doctor might have to interject soon or the conversation will only get worse with himself.]
video if he slips :')

action;
Think I'll take something playful to put on a shelf in my room, thanks.
[Smiling, she takes to walking around and getting a close look at all the things he's made.]
Do you miss being there? [There's a pause, and her smile fades a little as she clarifies what she means.]
Christmas Town, do you miss it?
action;
Take anything you like.
[ And then he gets down onto his knees to prod at the train tracks. Difficult question. He misses a lot of things, and compared to the TARDIS and the travelling it's not something he thinks a lot about. But while he was there, with no TARDIS about, he could almost have forgotten about it.
Of course he wouldn't, but had the TARDIS been less important in his life ... Probably. ]
Like you miss your family after you've moved out.
[ Rose had said that about her feelings regarding her mother. It feels appropriate, in this case. ]

[He's never seen anything like them in Ealdor.]
[Video]
Merlin. Oh, bless. Is this a new favourite of the gods or something? ]
Ah, uhm. A lot of different things. The train's pretty explanatory. This rat, [ he brings it out again, ] is a wind up toy so if you wind it up ...
[ He winds it up, and puts it down on the floor again. Films it shooting off towards a corner of the room and colliding with a pile of tools there. ]
Oh. Woops.

[ He holds up the mouse again. ]
This one's wind-up. Can't do mice or rat toys without some of them being wind-up.

So here he is not too long after his shift at work is over, waving at the Doctor before bending down to inspect the toys.]
Wow... These are amazing.

Have you considered talking to Mr. North? He is Father Christmas, after all, and he makes toys for the native children.
