Hello, everyone. I know it's been a long time but I've finally finished writing up all my notes about Asgard and everyone's worlds. I know it doesn't quite cover all the worlds that have been introduced here but it's a start! If you'd like to add anything then, please, let me know as soon as you're able.

[ She smiles, softly, expression bright. She's very proud of herself, really, and more than glad that she's finally able to contribute something solid and real to Asgard. She's finally able to put all her research together and actually show it to her friends and acquaintances and, maybe, actually help them in the long run. ]

It's a digital file, so I think you should all be able to access it using your bracelets. If you have any problems then, please, let me know and I'll do whatever I can to help.

Otherwise, how is everyone? Things have been quieter than usual, which I think is a good thing, so I hope that means well for you all.

[ She pauses, pursing her lips, before she shakes her head and sighs just before the feed turns off. ]

I only want to know things you're all comfortable with me knowing and writing down. It's your home, after all.

That's cool. Is there anythin' you really want to know?

I would like to know more about the Shadows that need you to be 'honest' to face, if you wouldn't mind?

[And then he promptly goes a bit red.]

The Shadows. Right. Uh... they're... they're you. They're the stuff you don't wanna think about about yourself...

So, parts of you or emotions you feel that you don't want anyone to know? Things that you hide so deep you're denying it even to yourself?

That's ... [not looking quite at the camera here] ... pretty much it, yeah. They come to life in there.

That sounds horrifying. If they're things you don't want to admit then facing them must be awful. Like Boggarts of my world.

[Thinking back to his own...]

...Yeah. I mean, I dunno what a Boggart's like, but once was bad enough: havin' the mirror world remind me about it ... yeah.

Oh! Of course, I'm sorry, I should've explained. A Boggart is a magical creature in my world that takes the shape of whatever the first person it sees most fears. If you were terrified of snakes, for example, it would transform into a giant python.

[ Her expression softens and she leans forward, concerned. ]

Are you alright now?

...okay, damn. That's gotta be awful. [And for a moment, his mind flickers out to - what would his be? (Especially when his greatest fears aren't so much things as places or concepts...)

An' I'm fine, don't worry! The thing with Shadows, though: you get some that just look like monsters. Those, you can just beat the hell out of. But the big ones, the bad ones, the ones you've gotta own everythin' up to... [quieter] they look like you.

Yes, but we're taught spells to help us banish them. There's one that turns the boggart into something ridiculous - a friend of mine's fear was one of our teachers, so they used the spell to dress the teacher up in his grandmother's old clothes.

[ Not mentioning names because it's not her place but, oh, Neville. That's still a fond memory for her. ]

Oh. [ A pause, then she frowns. ] So you're literally facing yourself.

[He starts to laugh at the image for a moment, but stops. To anyone else, his Shadow would have been ridiculous, he well knows...] Heh. Useful. Nice to be taught this stuff, huh? - wait, you were actually taught magic?

...And ... yeah. That's what makes it so bad.

[ She nods, not looking shocked by the question. She's used to people not being familiar with her world, now. ] From the age of eleven, yes. We graduate and 'come of age' at seventeen and the years between that are used to teach us how to use our magic and about the wizarding world.

Man. That's gotta beat the hell outta my school.

I guess they don't teach you to fight shadows in the average school, then?

Heh. No way.

[Maybe if they were talking about the other folks from his world's school they'd be getting somewhere...]

So what was your school like? Going to a wizarding school meant that I missed out on a lot of what some people might call 'normal' education.

Huh... let's see. It was a small town, anyway. Few of our teachers were kinda ... characters, ya know? I didn't get on with 'em, mind. Didn't get on with many people there, really. I ... kinda wasn't the best student.

[Understatement of the century. All the awkward here...]

I definitely know what you mean - one of my teachers is here, actually, and he's... Different. [ That's the easiest description of Snape. ] I'm sure you did the best that you could, though, right? And it's not like you and your friends weren't busy.

I... got through. [Weak, but what else can he say?] And I was doin' better there than I used to before I came here.

That's good! As long as you're trying, Kanji. That's all anyone can ask for, really.

Heh. Thanks. [Okay, he's definitely looking doubly awkward here.]
