Peter Pettigrew, unfortunately, is one of them. The video jolts and even falls to the floor before it rights itself, but upside down. ]

Merlin, this is -- well. I... I was just wondering if maybe anyone played chess? I... I don't know.

[ He gestures to the bracelet, which only serves to make the video fuzzy and flicker out. Sorry, he's never been very good at introductions, and certainly no good at making many friends. ]

[ Well. Good thing is? Peter has no idea who he is talking to either, but he already feels a little threatened. ]

It's better than, well, not asking anything at all. I suppose we have to be entertained somehow.

[ He lets out a little huff, though he fidgets with the device again. ]

And chess is -- at least wizarding chess -- is very... er, it just fills time.

The video feed will just be Draco...staring awkwardly into the camera. Holy hell it's Pettigrew. Except not. Except he is. Is he? Maybe it's best that Riddle isn't around anymore, but it certainly does't look like the Pettigrew he knows and this whole timeline is so horribly messed up.]

[ He shrugs awkwardly, because he couldn't think of anything else to say. He wanted to find his friends -- James had said others were around, right? ]

[ He is curious though, and he tries to place the face. Does he know this guy? ] Wait. You know about wizarding chess?

[He's busy trying to calculate how old Pettigrew can be instead of really listening to what the other man is saying, so it takes a moment for him to tune back in.]

I should hope so. [As far as he can tell, Pettigrew has no idea who he is and that's fantastic.] I'd be quite a poor wizard if I didn't.

[ Nope, he has no idea at all who you are, to be honest. He'd probably be a little appalled if he did. He isn't too much of a fan of your father. Sorry, kid. ]

But you're a wizard! I... hm. I know there are others from my world but... well. Did you -- do you -- go to Hogwarts? Mm. This place is strange.

[ He shrugs a little bit. ] I guess you would be though, if you didn't know wizarding chess.
