Second Report

[Video]

[When Yuusuke appears on the screen, he looks Not Amused. Held carefully, but firmly in his hand is a wriggling white snake with a single line of purple starting at its head and trailing down the part of its neck that is visible. Which is to say... up until the bandage that wraps around it. And yet, it seems remarkably tame considering it has yet to make any movement to bite him.]

Does anyone know how to care for a snake? When I came back to my room, I found her curled up on my bed. She has a habit of... adventuring, so I'll probably need a cage for her.

[He'll make sure it's spacious enough, sure, but no more running away for this reptile. He had enough of that back in his world, thank you very much.]

Also, I guess I might as well ask - anyone get something unusual as their gifts? I've heard we have a lot of people here who have powers where they come from, but who lost those powers when they got here. Did any of you happen to get magical trinkets that still work?

[Not that it's at all relevant to his current situation, of course! He's just curious is all.]

[Nothing useful to say here, even more so with this hangover. But the snake catches his eye anyway.]

Pretty.

[Oh, it's this guy. He remembers this guy.

He'll just smile, keeping his original snide response to himself.]

She is, isn't she? And as you can see, she's extremely tame.

[He loops a hand under the rest of her body, giving her a few gentle jiggles. She doesn't stop trying to wriggle out of his grasp by any means, but she also doesn't appear to be at all panicked by the sudden movement.]

She's a pet? [Aren't snakes either wild or in the zoo?]

Surprisingly, I'm pretty sure she's wild. I guess she just gets along well with humans!

[Maybe because she's really a book? Or part of a book? Or... can turn into a book? He's not the actual expert here.]

She's cool, then!

[If he knew about the used to be a book thing, he'd be asking so many questions. So many. Well, once he gets over his hangover.]

[Don't bother, Yuusuke hardly knows the answer to that himself.]

Well, if that's what you consider cool I guess...

Well, most wild animals are scared of people, right? So, yeah, she's cool.

You need a tank, not a cage. Fill it with sand or bark, and add tree branches and rocks it can climb up or hid under.

[...Right. This is that other Sasuke, isn't it?]

Tanks can be expensive... [Especially if you're a jobless loser.] Any idea how big it'll need to be?

They don't move around much. Depends on the size of the snake.

She's this big.

[He'll go ahead and hold her up, one hand carefully supporting her by the head while the other is closer to the tail. She's a good two and a half feet or so it looks like, even if she's quite slim.

And also still making valiant wriggles in a bid to escape, but well.]

Did that really just show up in your room? You didn't own it at home? [Some have had items appear but they are generally ones they owned before. Who'd have a snake and not have any clue how to look after it?]

You'll want one about this length anyway. [He holds his hands apart to show him.] About half that in width too, check out the pet stores.

She's actually a wild snake, even if she's tame. It just seems like a shame to release her back into the wild here when she's a gift from my home.

[He does make note of the tank size however, giving a short nod.]

I'll keep an eye out, then!

I didn't get anything unusual, but just something I didn't really expect getting...

[ The very first murder motive, really, Asgard? At least it has his family on it for a bit... ]

But, uh, did you get that snake as your gift?

As for this snake... Yeah, it seems like she's my gift from the gods. [And she's another book, technically speaking. If the gods were intending to make a bad joke, they certainly achieved it.]

Just... a DVD of sorts, back from home.

[ H-He'll leave it at that unless Yuusuke asks. He kind of already told him about the whole SHSL Despair thing so it wouldn't be that hard to explain to him this thing anyway. ]

Not exactly... It's a DVD made by the Super High School Level Despair, if you remember what I've told you about them.

[ DESPAIR but more like what happened to his family... he suddenly really misses them. ]

[Anna is finally getting over the massive hangover she's been dealing with since she woke up when she finds this on the network. She blinks and smiles, though she's not as perky as she generally is. Hey, she's never had a hangover before! Recovery time is a thing!]

I don't think I've seen an actual snake before. It's actually really pretty, if not maybe a little creepy looking.

You don't have something against snakes, do you? She's really harmless.

[Look, he even gives her a soft tap on her nose with his free hand. The most she does is recoil a bit before she resumes her gentle squirming, still apparently dead set on escaping his grasp.

It's not at all successful.]

Oh, no! Not really? I mean, I've just never seen one before. Not like this. Just in books that we had in the castle's library.

[She actually seems rather entranced by the snake. It's something relatively new, so of course she's curious!]

[Huh.]

Don't tell me you're some kind of nobility.

...Would it be a problem if I said I was? I mean, I don't mind not being treated like a princess, but I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable.

[What she means is...]

Yes. I am the princess of Arendelle.

Is that so? In that case, I hope I haven't been rude, speaking to you so casually.

[He'll even give a small bow.]

Even if you don't mind [...and even if he's never heard of the place before-], a princess is still a princess. Being here is probably a big change for you, isn't it?
