002. ᴛᴇxᴛ.

[ well this is new. there is no face to go with the name 'Jamie Moriarty' but there is certainly a name attached to this little greeting. ]

Good afternoon, Asgard.

This introduction is overdue and I fear I can do nothing about that fact aside of asking for your forgiveness. I trust you will all understand how busy and demanding times in this city can be.

I hear you are not overly fond of riddles which I do not find odd. What is Asgard if not a complex riddle? But I would greatly appreciate if you consider this one. I trust those who would solve it shall find themselves with an interesting subject to discuss.

4+4

( turn!

+3 ) + 2 = ?????

Jamie Moriarty

[ Sorry, lady Moriarty was never an option not ever no sorry bye. He thinks Moriarty would make quite an ugly woman, really. He has no idea. ]

I was under the impression I had solved it days ago.
tigers: (I want to hear it for 20 minutes or more)

What am I meant to solve, then? I've solved who you are. I'm well aware what you do. Surely that's all there is to it, eh?
tigers: (Causes don't pay.)

The riddle.

[ He knows Moriarty better than most people. Or so he likes to believe. He surely spends more time with him than any living human. Only his wasps must know him better.

BUT LOOK HE'S GOING TO TRY. He squints at the riddle for a good ten seconds.....then gives up. Time for a bullshit answer.
]

4+4 is 8, of course. I once knew a bloke with eight fingers. Lost the other two to a bear. Poor, sorry sod wasn't prepared. He's lucky the poor beastie only got ahold of two digits.

8) + 3 + 2 = a mathematician's dream, surely.

tigers: (That was the question I'd never answer.)

Only maths? Good god, no. He's equally, if not more invested in his wasps.
tigers: (Can I have a medal for that?)

I couldn't possibly think of anything more appropriate. The prof had a bloody good way of putting the differences between the two. Bees are the do-gooders, law-abiding souls, he says. They live to pollinate and produce honey, but they only get one sting. Defend themselves once and the poor buggers die anyway. Sorry end to a sorry sort. Wasps get the better end of the deal, if you ask me. They live to sting. It don't have to be in defense.

He and I? We're not bees.
