Video - Day 405
[The feed, when it comes up, shows half of Jon's face. Well, more like half of Jon's scowl of disapproval. He really doesn't like the magical bracelets and would rather use crows or face-to-face dealings for conversing, but Robb keeps insisting that these things are fine.
It's not fine. It's a woman's bauble and he hates that he can't just take it off. This shows in the grumpy half-face visible on screen.]
As I haven't been able to track down half of you, I wish to ensure that my siblings are well, as are those that I have come to know while being here.
[Yes, Ygritte, that means you. You're in theresomewhere and he's not exactly broadcasting his ex? current? lover is in Asgard. Shh.]
If this little display has taught me anything it's that the gods here and their 'gifts' cannot fully be trusted. What can be trusted is the strength of your own arm and the steel you hold in hand. I was informed I'm to 'get a job', but I've only an interest in steel and the wielding of it. If there's a place where I can teach others, I'd welcome that. If not, I'd still offer to help train those that have little or no training.
[This is his attempt at fitting in. His siblings are here and he needs to keep an eye on them (especially Robb, you dumb dead jerk), so he needs money to make sure they're fed and clothed and housed. Help a bastard out, Asgard.]

I'm well enough. [Slightly peevish. Jon, you are his brother, not his mother. Quit being a mother-hen.] As for a job, as far as I know there's the Citadel. I'll speak to Arthur, mayhaps there's an opening for one of us.

Perhaps you can explain why there was so much blood in the halls between our rooms then?
[Because he'd seen that and yes, he'd freaked out. And gone looking in Robb's room. And then gone looking in all the rooms -- one of which was a bad idea to look in (his eyes oh god)]
I've not heard of this Arthur before, but if he's who I'm to talk to to be of any use here, perhaps you can point me in the right direction.
[Translation: He can get his own jobs, Robb.]

I consider it more something to keep me occupied than anything giving. I can't sit here and stare at my walls all day, and they have brought me here for a war, have they not?

video;
If you get a job, you can move out. I'm looking too. Loki costs the least in coin, but- [ she shrugs vaguely, rubbing the back of her head as she does. ] it is not so nice either. Or that's what I hear. Maybe it's not so bad, they say the Wall isn't pretty either.
Re: video;
So the point becomes finding one of these jobs and earning the coin to move.
[That last bit earns her a smile, small and just for her.]
But we've slept in worse, yes? The Wall has it's perks, but it is damnably cold.
[It was around that time that a big white muzzle was stuck in the screen, Ghost trying to see where the familiar voice was coming from.]

After all, despite his insistence that the Watch took no part in matters of the realm, they shared a common cause, and he had grown grudgingly fond of him. ]
While you speak truly and admirably, Lord Commander...
[ You can practically hear the "but" coming... ]
...Is there a reason that you did not make your presence known to me?
[ Suspicion. Particularly when he had spoken to the wildling woman that refused to make her relationship with the Lord Commander known. ]

[Someone very dead and very much not Jon Snow.]
As to that question, I suppose the answer depends on who you are. Is there a reason I should have made myself known?
[Ah, Ygritte. Did you like her, Stannis? Was she red enough for you?]

Robb has made mention of someone called Arthur, so I suppose I shall wait to hear about that from him. Do they expect payment immediately for lodging us?

[She's quick to speak up, even if a little sheepish and awkward about it. She's not used to asking for help, but she's getting there.]
My power turned on me recently, and I have a bit of experience working with weapons but...I need more, being here. Also, which siblings belong to you? I might be able to help you figure out if they're doing alright or not.

[Either worked for him. As long as he had something he could do during the day that would help him get enough coin to help his family, he could manage.]
Bran, the youngest, I've not heard from him for a while. Same with Arya.
[Because apparently children couldn't be bothered to check in with their elders.]
