Just before I get started, just in case anyone wanted to say 'oh hey, Lydia, you're back'? I am but I'm not. I know that I've been here before, I was happily told that, but I don't remember it. So for anyone that did know me you might want to reintroduce yourself first.

Now that that's out of the way, I've been doing some reading. With everything that has happened and is supposed to I want to know what I'm going to be in for. Apparently that's not the easiest thing to do. Not concisely, anyway. But what's a network full of people for if not to help someone out?

One of the gods has died before and it saved us when we should have died. [ That she found out from the network rather than a book, helpful soul ] Have any of the others died or was it just this one? Because I'm assuming that we're still in a war, so what's happened since and why was that incident so different? Cliff notes version, preferably.

Because I've been here all of a day, and a list doesn't exactly help you recognize people you've never met.

That's it's magic. Which is all fine and good, I'm sure, but not exactly the most satisfying explanation.

It'll help you to recognise them. Maybe find something out about them.

And it's not. I don't know about magic but I know that other things are there. Maybe their something else is being simplified to magic. Although if we are given abilities from them then it's likely that they have something else too.

( in response to that, he just grabs his folded welcome map from out of his pocket and holds it up to the bracelet. he has very cramped, narrow handwriting, and in it he's written small notes by each of the welcome halls. by thor there's DIDN'T DIE, and by sigyn it's GENERALLY KIND, STAY ON HER GOOD SIDE and then in the margins there are more general notes (RESURRECTION?? NOT BLOOD), and a color-key based on the people he's met and their bracelets. it's not much, yet. but he's clearly made an effort. )

They wouldn't share all their power or show all their cards, is that it?

That isn't bad for just one day.

Would you if you were a god trying to get people to help you? You have to promise something in return, and you can't if everything is known first.

I'm a professional. Supposedly. ( he hates away missions and this is one taken to it's most illogical degree. )

Gods aren't supposed to need help. But I guess there's always the promise of heaven. Pretty sure that's not how it works, here.

A professional what? [ Because you really can't just leave it at that ]

Then maybe they're not gods. Or something is stopping their power. [ Who knew. Were they gods? Aliens? She was not the expert ] But if heaven is supposed to be the promise then I'd listen for Valhalla.

I don't doubt that they're not gods. Most deities were just beings that humanity didn't understand at the time.

But I'm not too keen on some viking paradise. I'd rather just go home.

Well, it doesn't sound like home is an option unless this war is stopped. Or you're lucky.

It sounds to me like we're gonna have to be lucky to stop the war.

We might not need as much luck if we could make a decent plan. It sounds like that's a bit lacking so far.

I'd like to get this problem sorted, not die and go home. Having a plan and being organised usually helps you get something sorted otherwise it might all get out of control. Which it sounds like it has.

Maybe no one was approaching the problem that logically.

So with everyone that's been brought here I'm the first person to think of it like this?

[ If that was true then it was pretty ridiculous. But if all of these people were here and they hadn't thought of it? That could be worse ]

You'd have to go through and ask all of 'em to be sure.

And if they have, it means that planning alone won't fix this.

Then let's hope that we can come up with something better. A plan and the right action to go with it.
